Welcome to Maison La Roche Gite. This cute rustic two bedroom holiday cottage comes with luxurious touches like sumptuous towels and crisp linens to make your holiday as comfortable as possible. Seasonal use of the heated private guests only “plunge pool” within a fully fenced garden with large wooden terrace with views towards the River Vienne. The well equipped kitchen with cooking facilities, Nespresso Coffee machine etc. Wifi throughout. Dogs by prior approval only!! Fees apply. The space Maison La Roche is a cute two bedroom two bathroom old stone cottage located in a quiet and private position within easy walking distance of local bars and restaurants and L'isle Jourdain town. A short 4km drive is the Circuit du Val de Vienne in Le Vigeant. The cottage has a well equipped kitchen with table and chairs, a comfortable lounge area with large TV and UK Satelite, French TV, DVD, Free wifi internet which extends outside. The Gite has two bedrooms, one is downstairs and has a Kingsize bed. There is a shower room downstairs. Upstairs there is a larger bedroom with a Kingsize bed and en-suite shower room. Quality linens and towels are provided and included in the price. Guests have the cottage to themselves, with their own seating area just outside the front door which is perfect for eating and socialising they also have access to the fully fenced garden. Your hosts Jo and Jamshid stay in the cottage next-door so are available if you need them. Basic amenities such as cooking spices, oil etc are provided in the kitchen to get you started but it is self-catering. Just across the lane (which is very quiet residents road) guests have access to the fully fenced orchard garden with a private for B&B & Gite guests only plunge pool (seasonal & heated when outside temperature is averaging 20 degrees from May until end of September) and sun beds. There is a Shaded Dining area for Gite Guests only. A Charcoal BBQ is available in the orchard for Gite Guests only. The large wooden decking was added in 2021 and provides guests with wonderful views over the valley and towards the River Vienne et Barrage la Roche. Perfect for Yoga, sunbathing or stargazing at night. A short 200m walk down the grass path next to the orchard will take you to the river where it is possible to fish and kayak. We are in a good location for cycling and we offer covered parking in the barn for bikes and motorcycles. We have private parking for 3 cars for our guests and also you can park anywhere on the very quiet residents road anywhere around the House. Guest access Guests have full access to the house, including the seating area to the front of the house and access to the fully fenced orchard and pool across the road. The garden area is private for guests of the B& B and Gite. Hosts Jo and Jamshid are next door in the attached cottage with their small friendly dogs Amber the Cockerpoo and Roobi the rescue Shitzu. Whilst there is not a washing machine in the cottage there is free access to a washing machine in the neighbouring cottage. Other things to note Maison La Roche is dog friendly and welcomes well behaved supervised dogs via prior agreement. No more than 2 small medium dogs or 1 large dog per stay. A fee is payable per stay of 25 euros per dog. We do not accept heavy shedding breeds sorry. Dogs must not be left alone in the house for long periods on their own or at all if they are nervous. The Gîte is child friendly but please bare in mind that the bedrooms are 1 upstairs one downstairs so for this reason we do not recommend it for toddlers. We recommend the Gite for Children over 4 years of age. The Gîte has a fully fenced orchard just across the road from the door of the kitchen so it's safe for children to run around, we do require they are fully supervised because of the pool.
