Surroundings Goldenbek is a small farming and livestock village with just over 200 inhabitants. It lies between Bad Segeberg (approx. 15 km) and Lübeck (approx. 20 km), well connected to the A20 (Geschendorf exit). The Baltic seaside resorts Travemünde, Scharbeutz, Timmendorfer Strand can be easily reached in 20 - 30 minutes by car. The hilly landscape of Holstein Switzerland invites you to stroll along the grain fields, horse pastures and through small forests. A somewhat longer walk leads to the picturesque Wardersee in Pronstorf, which stretches long and narrow into the landscape. Impressive megalithic graves line the way to Pronstorf, 3 km away. In Westerrade, on the other side of the Klingenbrooker forest, there is the next village shop (approx. 2 km). You can find all shops in Bad Segeberg. On Wednesday and Saturday there is a market on the Segeberg market place.
