Welcome to The Nest Haus, a cozy oasis set on several acres at Bird Haus Farms. This charming tiny house has been newly renovated to provide a comfortable and inviting getaway. We are 45 minutes to Fredericksburg, 30 minutes to New Braunfels, 30 minutes to Boerne, and 30 minutes to downtown San Antonio. Heb grocery and Wal- Mart are 5 minutes away. The space One of the highlights of your stay at The Nest Haus is the wood-fired hot tub experience. This is not your average hot tub – you'll be responsible for starting the fire, keeping it going, and getting the tub to the perfect temperature. It's a physical and rewarding hands-on experience, so be prepared to work up a sweat. We provide starter logs, but bringing extra wood (2 bags) will ensure the tub is heated to your liking. Just a reminder, we won't be there to assist with starting the fire – the challenge is all yours, brave adventurer! Here's what you need to know for your wood-fired hot tub experience: - Bring at least 2 bags of wood to start and keep the fire going - Building a fire and stoking it is a workout, but worth it in the end - No fire-starting assistance provided, so make sure you're prepared - It takes 3-6 hours for the tub to heat up depending on outside temperature, but the relaxation is worth the wait Sleeping arrangements: A queen bed, a fold-down couch, and a twin bed in the loft (with a 3ft ceiling). The space sleeps 2 comfortably but can accommodate up to 4 people if needed. Amenities: Enjoy a full kitchenette with a microwave, small stove/oven, and fridge, as well as a bathroom with a shower. Additional amenities include AC/heat, coffee, and a Hill Country vibe that’s just 5 minutes from grocery stores and dining. Sleeps 2 comfortably, but there’s a a fold down couch downstairs and a twin bed in the loft (3ft ceiling) so could accommodate 4 people. Guest access Parking and Accessibility: Parking: Space for one car is available directly by the house. The driveway is steep but partially paved. Accessibility: Not wheelchair accessible – there are gravel paths and stairs leading into the house. Other things to note Pet fee is $100. There is a hound dog on the property next to ours- he’s harmless but does like to howl! The couch in the living area folds down and it best for a small person. Loft has a twin bed (and 3ft ceiling). There is an extra linen fee ($20/person/night) for more than 2 people. Please note that there are not screens on our windows. To get to the pond reference the property map- it’s best to drive! Please note that if there is a power outage during your stay, the property will also lose access to water, as the pump is electrically powered. We will do our best to address the situation.
