The picturesque coastal towns with many restaurants provide ample opportunity to relax and enjoy their culinary offers. There are various hiking and cycling routes. You can cycle along the embankment from Nordeich to Emden or to the other side, to Hooksiel. Two bicycles are available for use. You can also walk along the embankment or visit one of the five islands. 6km from the house there is the Eternal Sea, a marsh area. The forest at Berumerfehn is not far away and fro, there you can go on a boat trip through the marsh area. Aurich, Norden, Emden are the larger towns in the immediate vicinity. In Lütetsburg you can find a magnificent new golf course. Next to it there is a castle with a very beautiful open park. The Kurpark is nearby with a swimming pool and sauna.
