We look forward to welcoming you to our beautiful farm. The cabin has a great connection to nature. It is quiet, cozy and a romantic place to watch the sunset. The cabin has a queen bed in the downstair bedroom and a double bed in the loft. The couch also folds-out to double bed for the children in the sitting room. By reservation, special evening of our farmstead wood-fired pizza, backyard fire and downeast company. Many ingredients from our farm. Denali, our farm hound looks forward to welcoming you to our farm. The sheep, pigs, and other chickens will also enjoy seeing you. Our farm cabin has a great feel of being connected to nature. It is quiet, cozy and a wonderful place to watch the sunset overlooking grazing animals. The cabin has a queen bed in the downstair bedroom and a double bed in the loft. The couch in the sitting room also folds-out to double bed for the children. We use high-quality sheets, pillows and down comforters - to assure you will be cozy and feel pampered. We provide coffee/tea service in the morning in our farm store. By reservation, we serve a full country breakfast ($16/pp) and four-course farm-to-table dinners with many ingredients from our farm ($65/pp). Plus 20% for gratuity/taxes. By reservation, we also offer a special evening of our own chef-made wood-fired pizza, backyard fire and downeast company. Many of the ingredients are from our farm. BOYB. ($50/pp; groups of 4 or more $45/pp). The cabin does not have heat, electricity or running water. We provide numerous battery-charged lights and candles making this a is cozy, relaxing and perfect way to experience Maine & farm life. An outhouse is nearby. We provide an outdoor hot-water shower. Plan to visit our farm store where you can buy goat-milk soap, beeswax candles, organic wool pillows, sheep and goat skins and other creations made by Patti. Loads of hiking trails are right out our door or wander down the gravel road. Visiting the animals (sheep, pigs, chickens and, of course, Denali - the farm hound) is always a highlight for guests. Please leave your own dog at home, thank you. Chris is a proud Mainer and natural tour guide. He will be happy to provide you with his favorite recommendations and hidden gems. For the past eight years, hundreds of people have enjoyed being with the lambs & sheep, visiting our pigs, walking on our trails, and relaxing in a cell-free zone. (Note: in 2024 we did not raise pigs) In the summer our cabin books every night – so we encourage you to make reservations soon. If you would like to talk over your plans, please give us a call. Denali the hound (and we) look forward to welcoming you! Guests have private cabin (and outhouse). We have an outdoor shower & there are several places to swim (river, ponds & lakes nearby). Delicious hearty breakfasts and farm-to-table dinners/wood-fired pizza are available by reservation. Guests are welcome to watch us do farm chores . The animals love attention & welcome inquisitive visitors. Chris & I love to connect with the visitors and share stories and vacation ideas, but are also fine if privacy is what you desire. Our neighborhood is "rural." We live adjacent to the largest roadless area in midcoast Maine. Our property is connected to miles of trails for walking, mountain biking or cross country skiing. Whitefield is a farming community - with a terrific general store (Sheepscot General). The Amish have recently moved to town - giving Whitefield a particular country-charm. We are also very close to the Sheepscot River for those who want to paddle, swim or just listen to the rippling water. We live an hour away from Camden, Portland, Boothbay and Belfast - 2.5 hours to Acadia National Park. There is no public transportation near to us. During the summer, the traffic on US Route 1 in Wiscasset can be hugely problematic - if you plan to arrive between 2:00 - 8:00 PM, we suggest you find an alternate route. From Brunswick, continue north on I-295 and come through either Richmond or Gardiner. If you come through Wiscasset - no matter the time of night or day - follow the speed limits - the local officer is always there - somewhere. We have a farm store with many homemade items including wonderful sheep skins, goats milk soap, organic wool pillows, handmade candles, fresh garden vegetables and more. Sheepscot Brewing Company is located across the street and has beer tastings on Friday nights. River swimming is two miles away at Head Tide.
