Built in 1880, our home is a rambling, quirky Victorian nestled in the heart of downtown Old Fort. Minutes away from Black Mountain and Asheville, the inn is a perfect beginning and ending to your day's adventures in western NC! The space This large queen room has its own full bath. The room features a dormer window and much charm as it showcases warm pine walls. Located beside the home's library, this room offers a great opportunity to curl up with a great book *Check out our Smoky Mountain Suite and Springer Mountain Room, should this room be booked when you are planning to travel! Guest access You will have access to a well-stocked library, WIFI, a relaxing front porch, 3 acres of gardens and other outdoor spaces, and an amazing 6 person hot tub that offers great views of the night sky. ( Please note: Hot tub is closed from Memorial Day to Labor Day.) You can also enjoy a shared TV/Dining area that has a small refrigerator, microwave and TV with cable for guest use. You are invited to enjoy a fresh, home cooked deluxe continental breakfast at no additional cost. During your stay Someone from our family will greet you on arrival and will be available should you need assistance. Other things to note We are located very close to the train tracks and the town fire station. Train whistles and sirens may be surprising at first. We do offer ear plugs to help those light sleepers. Our drive is steep and graveled. Our Honda Accord makes the climb easily. The entrance to the Inn requires that guests climb stairs. *If you are attending a special event in the area, please let us know. You can have a later check out time to accomodate your event.
