Around an hour’s drive from both central Zagreb and Franjo Tudjman Airport, the house is nestled deep in the Zagorje countryside, which is famed for its fairytale castles and signature wines. At almost 90sqm, the property is spread across two floors. Upstairs are two tastefully decorated open space double bedrooms, one with ensuite access. Downstairs is a spacious, fully equipped kitchen and dining area, comfortable living room, and family bathroom. Designed for comfort, interiors ooze rustic charm: all one-off vintage pieces as well as ridiculously comfy sofas and beds, this is casual luxury at its best! It’s what’s outside this lovingly renovated cottage that really brings the WOW factor! A 35sqm terrace is made for relaxing, and an ideal spot for soaking up gorgeous views of the surrounding landscape, preferably with a glass of something chilled and a good book! Guest access Make yourself at home! The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare a cozy romantic dinner, brunch with friends, or refreshing cocktails. Upstairs, you’ll find plenty of clean bed linen and towels… everything you need to kick back and relax. For the energetic, Green Hills Cottage is close to a number of biking and hiking routes - we’d be happy to recommend our favourites! Otherwise, relax in thermal springs and healing mud treatments at the Terme Tuhelj Spa, which is a seven minute drive away. For history buffs, the area boasts an abundance of castles, and is five minutes from Kumrovec, the birthplace of Tito. Adrenalin junkies should check out the helicopter flight simulators at Heli Centar Toplice! Other things to note As you can tell, Green Hills Cottage is secluded. That means you can’t walk to a bakery or shop… but you can enjoy clear night skies with plenty of stars, and needn’t worry about laughter and conversation extending late into the night.
