Medieval tower the Casetta
Once upon a time the little house ... In a large and well-kept garden in the historic area of Porto San Giorgio, surrounded by greenery and the scent of flowers that the seasons offer, as if by magic, "La Casetta" appears. The owners Loredana and Valentina, respectively aunt and nephew, take care of her, cuddle her, cherish her with affection and dedication. Just 600 meters from the softest beaches the Casetta, totally renovated in 2001, is a magical place, of total and absolute relaxation, is "the place" where the tranquility of an old medieval village is mixed with the intense scent of flowers, the colorful colors of the seasons and the songs of the birds that have been holding their guests for years. To get to the Casetta you need to cross a part of the large private garden available to guests. This ancient dwelling is composed of two buildings that are perfectly united and connected. In the first, "la Casetta" built in 700, there is the living area; the second, instead, which houses the bathroom and the sleeping area, is one of the towers guarding the wall of the pretty town of Porto S. Giorgio and dates back to 1100. The living area is equipped with a relaxation corner, facing the wonderful historic wall and the garden that, from the front door, loom in the dwelling. The small living room is formed by two small armchairs with two cushions and a small table whose upper part becomes a tray, very useful for summer dinners in the garden. Immediately behind the living room the dining area, consisting of a comfortable table and four chairs. On the old beam of the fireplace a flat screen TV, decoder and DVD with home theater function. The kitchen is small but extremely functional. It is equipped with a large built-in sink, a refrigerator that has, in the upper part, the freezer. Then a four-burner hob with automatic ignition and safety valves and a fan oven. On the toaster and kettle counter. The kitchen of the Casetta is also equipped with all the utensils that can be used for everyday life: glasses, plates, pots, carafes, moke, cups and cups, cutlery ... and kitchen linen. Outside the house there is a table with two benches, a living room with a sofa and two armchairs complete with cushions for relaxing in the garden and all the lawns that you will be able to enjoy ... A passage inside the wall in the living area, introduces the medieval tower, home to the sleeping area. Here guests will find the room on the ground floor of the Tower where the owners keep everything that is necessary for the daily life of a house, the built-in closet with crockery and kitchen equipment and the old rolling cloth with clean linen. Next to the mattera a full-length mirror. From this room you enter the bathroom, consisting of a sink with mirror, toilet, bidet, a comfortable shower and clean linen. Going up the small stairs of the tower you get to the first floor totally occupied by the master bedroom, equipped with a bedside table with reading light and a large built-in wardrobe. A romantic tent protects the privacy of the room from the stairs. Going up again you get to the second and last floor of the tower where there are two beds, a mirror and a bedside table with reading light. The ceiling of this room is lowered. Both rooms are equipped with linens. Both the windows of the Casetta and those of the rooms in the tower overlook the large garden. The small windows of the stairs and of the room on the ground floor of the tower, on the other hand, insist on the medieval municipal walk. The two buildings, the Casetta del 700 and the medieval tower of 1100, are inextricably "attached" to each other ... married with a long marriage of love that has lasted for centuries. All this is the navel of the historic area of Porto San Giorgio, the oldest village in the Castello district. La Casetta, nestled in the terraced lawn of the owners' house and protected by the mighty historic wall, borders the historic municipal walk, with Villa Bonaparte, the Teatro Comunale and the Church of San Giorgio Martire, the main place of worship in the country. To reach the first and equipped beach just 5 minutes walk. Guests have two entrances to access the Lodge. The first, the main one immediately adjacent to the Teatro Comunale, is the driveway and provides a private parking space and a garage for storing bikes and beach equipment. Guests will receive a remote control to open the driveway gate of the property already from the car. The second entrance is only the pedestrian, surrounded by greenery and ensures an immediate outlet to the Rione Castello, the historic area of the ancient village, the one that, in summer, buzzes with life, with performances of Jazz, classical music Live, flea markets and street artists. All accompanied by restaurants and pubs that also guarantee pizza and typical Marche foods. To respect the landscape, environmental, historical and ... restrictions of space, the house is not equipped with a bathtub, dishwasher, microwave and air conditioning, but it is guaranteed that the thick walls and the green immediately behind the house, ensure coolness at summer nights. La Casetta also, being largely built inside a medieval tower, has narrow stairs and steep, not suitable, or even discouraged, to small children, or people with walking difficulties.
