Emily’s Holiday House is a special place. This unit is a FEMA home and was brought to Ogallala after it had been a refuge for victims of the 2013 Northern Colorado flood. As Red Cross disaster volunteers, my husband and I wanted to preserve a piece of history from this iconic event. The unique design of this well-insulated, all electric home meets ADA guidelines, with extra wide doorways and wheelchair accessible bathroom. Enjoy the comforts of home while experiencing the magic of Lake Mac. The space This home is located in a quiet community “on the hill”, about three miles from the local beach access to Lake Mac. Guest access Guests have access to the kitchen, bathroom and living area. There is an outdoor space available that has patio furniture, a grill and a chiminea for an outdoor fire. Wood is provided. Other things to note Grocery stores in Ogallala include Safeway or Walmart. We tea, coffee and condiments available to guests.
