Welcome to Reflections on the Bay! Before going any further, please note this is a male-only, clothing-optional property. This house is situated on a large Bayfront lot with unobstructed views of the Great South Bay, Long Island, and the most amazing sunsets. We are conveniently located just a few short blocks from the harbor and all the excitement in town. That is, of course, if you can’t find enough excitement right here! The space -------------------------------------------------------------------- NOVEMBER 1 - APRIL 30 OFFSEASON EXPECTATIONS We are happy to continue hosting guests in the offseason, however you should be aware that our pool and spa are closed during this time period. The majority of our outdoor furniture is stored away. The weather on the Bay can be impressively aggressive. We bring a number of potted plants indoors to ride out the winter. The home is semi-winterized and kept to a temperature thats comfortable when wearing a light sweater. Ferry Service is very limited and weather-permitted. You should visit the Sayville Ferry Website and consult their current schedule to the Pines. There are no roads here. You cannot drive to our property from the mainland. The entire commercial district is closed. There are no bars, restaurants, or grocery stores. The liquor shop may be open on weekends, but it is not guaranteed. We are happy to assist you in having groceries delivered to the island, and we maintain a well-stocked pantry here. Our house manager, Brent, lives here year-round so you will always have someone to reach out to with issues or just have a friendly chat. :) In conclusion, our offseason is very different from summer fun. It is quiet, remote, complicated, weathery, and not for the faint of heart or those inexperienced with the logistics of getting on and off the island. Our vastly reduced rates reflect these conditions. -------------------------------------------------------------------- This iconic house was built for entertainment, parties, and luxurious living! Entering this home your eyes will instantly widen when seeing the unobstructed views across the Bay, dual floating staircases flanking either side of the foyer, a double-height Great Room with custom serpentine sofas and a grand piano, a large open kitchen with bar seating, and an adjacent dining room with seating for 12. Outside features a Bayfront heated pool, large hot tub with sunset views, gym equipment, outdoor shower and latrine, and a gorgeous white sand beach with chaise lounges along the bulkhead. This listing is for 1 bedroom, RM #1. RM #1 is a corner bedroom at the front of the house with garden views. It features an electronic coded doorknob, 2 Twin beds which may be conjoined to make 1 King bed + an optional twin floor mattress, 12' ceilings and a built-in closet/dresser combo. Pricing based on 2 guests. Each additional guest incurs a surcharge of $150/person/night. Additional guests must be approved in advance and added to your reservation. All of our rooms feature independent mini-split HVAC systems. Free Laundry and an Outdoor Shower are available for all our guests. This house is shared and thus you are likely to meet new people and make new friends. Jeffrey, Travles, and Brent along with his pup, Radar, are your resident managers and will be available should anything come up during your stay. We are pet friendly here, however your pets must be pre-approved and be non-aggressive towards unfamiliar people or other animals. We trust you to self-certify this, however if noise, nuisance, health or safety issues arise due to your pet you will be asked to leave and forfeit the balance of your reservation. Pets must be included on your reservation and their $50 fee paid in advance. There may be upwards of 10+ people sharing this house at any given time so please be mindful of the food you bring out. Generally its best to bring a few things you love and then buy the rest as-needed from the Pantry. Coffee is provided free of charge. Sharing of condiments is encouraged, but if you want Surf & Turf you better bring your own! Guest access Guests have access to all common areas of the property. During your stay Jeffrey, Travles, Brent + Radar live here full-time. You are guaranteed to interact with us regularly, however we're happy to give you your space and privacy. Other things to note By booking a stay here you acknowledge Reflections on the Bay has an iconic reputation to maintain and a big part of that entails playing host to special events. We do our best to minimize the impact on our guests, but we all know events do not just magically start and end. In exchange for you experiencing the behind-the-scenes aspects of party production, all registered guests have VIP access to any events during their stay. Its nice having your own "Champagne Room” during events like this…just saying! We will make every effort to post schedules of events in this listing, however it may be incomplete. Most Mondays we host a live Piano Night in the living room. Holiday weeks often feature large-scale events. Pre-Memorial Day and Post-Labor Day our rates are significantly less than our in-season rates as these time periods are off-season and there is often maintenance and repair work being done on/in/around the house. The rates are discounted to reflect the possibility your stay may be minimally impacted by the necessary work going on. Regardless we generally try to avoid any disruptions on weekends and we do our best to minimize any impact this work may have on guests during the week.
