B&B yards from Lough Neagh shores.
We are on the shores of Lough Neagh with excellent views of the Lough. We use local produce for our breakfasts and can offer evening meals if arranged in advance. It is easy to explore Northern Ireland from here as we are 30 minutes from Belfast and you can reach the North Coast in under an hour. It staying more than one night you really need your own transport. We can offer parking for cars, storage for motorbikes and bikes and even canoes! Look forward to welcoming you to Bay Cottage. The space We have two bedrooms (both have lovely views of Lough Neagh) and guests have use of our lovely big sitting room, but this listing concentrates on the Blue Room. The Blue Room is en suite, has a large double bed and a sofa which opens into a standard double so the room is excellent for couples or families with young children. It has a TV, binoculars, hairdryer and a hospitality tray. There is a library available for guests and there are magazines in the sitting room. The sitting room has a multi fuel stove (for chilly evenings), large TV, extensive selection of tourist information, and most important of all, comfortable chairs and sofas. All meals are served in the dining room and guests are welcome to bring their own wine or beer if having an evening meal. Breakfast uses our own free range eggs, (you can meet the hens), rare breed pig products, home made Irish bread and preserves, and Elizabeth uses local produce whenever possible. Local produce is also used for the evening meals which are by arrangement. Guests are welcomed with the offer of tea or coffee and home made scones or cake. There is off street parking for cars and covered storage for bikes, motorbikes and canoes and storage for sports equipment such as golf clubs. We also have a kennel and run for visiting dogs. Outside there is an area for guests to sit and admire the view. We can offer guests WiFi. The house and garden are 70 yds from the lough and have uninterrupted views. The field in front of the house is home to our hens and geese, whilst we have ducks in the back garden. It is a very rural area, so very peaceful despite close proximity to Belfast International Airport. Public transport is nearby and we are happy to collect guests from the airport or the nearby towns of Antrim and Crumlin. Both have public transport links to Belfast and other areas of N.I. We are on cycle route - Sustrans 94. We are 30 minutes from Belfast City Centre (apart from rush hour), 25 minutes from Ballymena and Lisburn, 45 minutes from the Giant's Causeway (direct route), 45 minutes to mid-Ulster with its wonderful National Trust properties. We are 15 minutes from the uniques Patterson's Spade Mill, and 10 minutes from either Antrim or Crumlin. We like people and will be delighted to welcome you to our home. Guest access Guests have access to their bedroom, the sitting room, a gazebo area with chairs and a table outside. There is free Wifi, lots of books and a selection of jigsaws and board games. Other things to note We do have a cat who lives in the house. We also have poultry in the field across the road and ducks in the back garden.
