My home is located on a dirt road surrounded by woods, secluded but warmly inviting. The rt 1 coast/ocean is about 25 minutes away, offering lighthouses, lobster and Maine hospitality. The sleeping space is on ground level, yielding a king sized bed & four single beds. The living room includes a television with Roku, multiple CD's as well as a very comfortable couch and double recliner. There is a separate entrance,( when not accommodating 6)AC and wood burning stove. Outside shower as well The space My home is a raised cape on a dirt road that is very quiet and secluded. It is surrounded on three sides by a beautiful forest that offers a different view throughout the different seasons. It takes about 15 minutes to the nearest market, The Common Market in Union. Down the road about 4 miles is a quaint country store, Edgecomb General, for necessities and the best pizza ever! There is always a percolator awaiting your awakening or the whistle of the teapot. My guest rooms, both up and down, boast of coziness, comfort and wooded views from all windows. Downstairs there is a king size bed topped with a plethora of pillows and a patchwork quilt. In an adjoining room are two inviting single beds with 2 more hidden underneath. The space consists of a living room with couch, double recliner, TV (Roku) , choice of CD's (alphabetized) and private back door opening to an outside shower as well as a small table with two chairs, awaiting it's guests to share tea and conversation. The bathroom is on the main floor for the downstairs guests, equipped with a washer and dryer. The upstairs guest bedroom has a queen size bed that boasts of many pillows, hand made quilt, TV (Roku), closet, dresser, AC when needed and shares a bathroom with me on the same floor. There are two wood burning stoves that softly glow in the main house when the weather turns a little chilly and each bedroom has it's own air conditioner when mother nature turns up the sun, or a ceiling fan as one's comfort dictates. Guest access You are more than welcome in my home and will have access to the kitchen, laundry facilities, dining room and parlor as well as the front/back yard and outside shower. and fire pit. There is a deck on the front and side of my home that always has a place to sit, share a cup of tea and just relax, The downstairs bedroom has a separate entrance( if not accommodating 6). There is a king size bed as well as 4 additional single beds to accommodate 6 guests. There is WiFi in my home, with the password on the monitor. The 11 acres of woods are bordered by 125 acres of conservation property on one side and the town forest on the other. The forest is accessible by foot if you care to and one path has red markings for a little less of a challenge. The front yard has a fire pit and invites the roasting of marshmallows or just the lure of a fire. During your stay I would be delighted to be available to assist you during your stay, either with ideas of where to visit or the resources to answer those questions, or perhaps some good old conversation. Another choice may be your preference to privacy, which will most assuredly by respected. You are a stranger here but once. Other things to note There are several stairs (5 to one entrance and 3 to another)on two entrances to my home. Each of the bedrooms has either a flight (12) of stairs going up, with a bathroom on the same floor, or a flight (12) of stairs going down with the bathroom on the main floor. My home is in the woods and there are no street lights, however, there is a security light that will illuminate your walk from the driveway to the house. Each of the decks has lighting from dusk to dawn. There is a pretty great view of the stars above the trees when the nights are clear.
