Located next to one of New Zealand's most beautiful National Parks, Abel Tasman National Park, this modern architecturally designed home is situated right above the famous Split Apple Rock Beach. The house sits among native bush, ferns and kanuka trees in one of the premium sites in the Abel Tasman. Access to beach is via a easy walking, wide and private track through mature native bush. The house has 3 large bedrooms, each with its own ensuite bathroom. Sun decks are located on 3 sides. The space Stunning Split Apple beach is a 5 minute walk via our private track The house has three different decks which can be enjoyed according to sun and time of the day. The house and surroundings are peaceful and private and quiet apart from the native birds chirping in the surrounding trees. Flightless Wekas are common around the house as are the rare Little Blue penguin over the winter months. From the house some great short walks on well formed tracks take you down to Split Apple Rock Beach (private track for Tui Lodge) and a public track down to Towers Bay. You can walk between the beach at low tide or take a cliff track. All public tracks are well sign posted. All the beaches are stunning, clean and with safe swimming. NEW !! The house just had two new bathrooms added, so each bedroom has its own ensuite. New all glass balustrade has been installed, a separate den for those that want a quiet space, plus numerous other features have been added. Guest access The whole house and surroundings is available to guests. Beneath the house is a secure large car garage for guests use. The sun decks are secure with balustrades and safety glass. The house has 3 large bedroom, each with its own ensuite bathroom and with the main bedroom with spectacular views to the east and north. The living area and kitchen is very large and extends on to decks on 3 sides. We recommend no more than 6 adults at any one time. The house is not suitable for young children under the age of 11 years. Other things to note Our water supply is rainwater so guests need to be careful in dry periods with the water usage although we do have a large 75000 litre storage supply. The water is drinkable, UV filtered, but if guests have concerns, they should buy bottled water. Split Apple Rock Beach is a public beach and at times there can be a number of people on the beach which they access by sea or via a public track.
