The space This historic home -- an 1870s inn that was later owned by famous fly fisherman, conservationist and innkeeper Art Flick -- has been lovingly restored by the owners of local favorite Scandinavian Grace and Idlewild travel bookstore in NYC. The 2700-square foot home is on two floors, with 8 bedrooms and 3 full baths. DOWNSTAIRS, you'll find two large living areas. One is a traditional cozy library with a woodburning stove and a large sectional, perfect for relaxing with a bottle of wine. The other is a modern and airy living room with two 11-foot-long couches, a huge bookcase full of even more books and plenty of board games, a giant TV with cable, and an instant-on gas fireplace. Both rooms have their own Bluetooth connection and speakers. There is a bathroom with a shower off the library.  The newly installed modern kitchen has all new appliances -- large fridge with ice maker, a five-burner gas stove with hood, dishwasher, microwave, filter coffee maker, and all the pots, pans, utensils, and plates and glasses you'll need to prepare and enjoy a large group dinner. There's also a six-burner gas grill right outside the kitchen door. The formal, separate dining room has a farm table that can easily seat 16 people -- perfect for casual meals, as a workspace, or for special dinners. UPSTAIRS you'll find 8 handsomely furnished bedrooms and two more full bathrooms . Five of the bedrooms have queen-sized beds, one has a full bed, one has a twin bed, and another has two twin beds plus a trundle. Each of the beds has a firm comfortable mattress, quality sheets, duvet covers and pillows, and extra blankets if needed. Each of the rooms has a window AC unit and radiator heat, several drawers and hooks for clothing, and spare outlets for your devices. OUTSIDE, there is a covered front porch with a long couch and views of the beautiful red barn on a hill across the road. The front porch is great for cocktail hour.Just out the kitchen door, there is also a stone patio with a large sectional outdoor sofa and table for outdoor dining or lounging.  There is parking onsite for up to 8 vehicles.  CEMETERY -- Please note our property is adjacent to the West Kill Cemetery, which shares our driveway. (The cemetery is behind us, and our parking spaces are to the sides of the driveway so this isn't an issue.) We think the cemetery is beautiful -- some of the tombstones date back 200 years -- and the few visitors who come in the warmer months don't bother our guests. (They drive past our house and through the cemetery gates, and a fence and shed block the view of the newer part of the cemetery they would be visiting.) But we just wanted you to know the cemetery is next to us for any guests who might find it spooky!
