I'm a writer living in the woods, in a spacious house, on a 10 acre private wooded lot, featuring a large pond. The guest room isn't large but the queen bed is new, and there is an empty closet. The second room has a King sized bed. THIS IS NOT A WHOLE HOUSE RENTAL. Walking path around a pond through the woods and a meditation Labyrinth. Shared living room, with working piano & guitar, views of pond and front garden. This is a Walden Pond type place. 3 miles from Three Oaks. No guests under 21. The space Guests who are looking for a peaceful place to re-connect with nature are in for a treat. This is essentially a private wooded park. This is the perfect place to focus on a writing or arts project, or just to relax. That said, this is a good spot to jump off into the touristy stuff in Harbor Country. There are breweries, wineries, a fine art movie theater (The Vickers), and a performance venue (The Acorn) close by. And of course, Lake Michigan beaches. Guests have access to an extensive vinyl record & CD collection, and are welcome to use the house guitars, piano, or drums. Guest access Guests are welcome to lounge in the living room, dining room, or kitchen. Please don't eat in the living room. You can sit outside on a small patio and have a glass of wine or coffee. There is also a fire pit which you are welcome to use. You'll have exclusive use of the bathroom on the first floor. The downstairs is my private living space during guest stays. During your stay I'm a writer, so, I'm often to be found at my desk on the lower level doing that work. Happy to chat and have a glass of wine or a cup of coffee, etc, but will leave you to your privacy as much as possible. I can also give a guided nature walk or meditation at the labyrinth. Happy to talk about things to do and local sites and spots. I am also simply not here a good deal of the time, out doing talks, or visiting friends. Reminder, this is NOT a WHOLE HOUSE Rental. This is a shared space, and I need the kitchen! Please also, know that this is not a party house, or suitable for non-renting visitors, or anyone under 21. Other things to note The labyrinth is not a "maze" it's a meditation path. I'm happy to guide a guest in how this meditation practice is done.
