Spacious Cabin on Secluded Lake
Nestled in the woods 20 minutes from Rt. 6. Off-the-grid living without sacrifice. There is a generator that allows for all the modern comforts. There a very few passerby on the access road and prepare to have the lake to yourself. Use of kayak and two canoes is encouraged! There is internet but it is slow! The space Welcome! The place is located 25 minutes off of route 6 just beyond Springfield, ME. The roads are in good condition but for the last stretch, you will need to drive on gravel roads. Located on an 11,000-acre lake. There are fewer people/camps on this lake than most others in the area (across the lake is a Passamaquoddy Land Trust). Fishing is fantastic. There is a gravel boat launch at the other end of the lake. Electricity and water are generator powered. The generator is needed to wash clothes, take a shower, occasionally refill the water tank, and to supplement propane lighting. The water tank holds sufficient water for washing dishes and using the toilet/sink. The generator is turned on and off through a switch on the first floor of the cabin. It will be full of gas when you arrive. There are also two canoes and a kayak at your disposal. You can also rent a motor boat from a friend. The wood adjacent the shed is only for the wood stove. There is a fire pit lakeside next to the dock.
