Emily’s Terrace Apartment is a part of the summer house that’s been in our family since the 16th century. The house has been renovated, combining modern and Mediterranean style, and stands just a few steps away from the sea. It’s ideal for a quiet and relaxing holiday for small families, a gathering of friends, or a romantic getaway for couples. The space Emily’s Terrace Apartment (43 m2) is located on the second floor of the building. It includes: ~ one bedroom ~a bathroom ~an open-concept living room combined with dining room ~and a fully equipped, modern kitchen Its lovely, spacious terrace of 30 m2 is perfect for those looking to relax or read with their morning coffee in the fresh air and sun, overlooking the sea and the island’s coast. You will share a laundry room with our other guests. The staircase that leads to your terrace also leads to the apartment on the floor above, which means that our other guests will occasionally pass by your terrace to get to their apartment. That being said, we have found our past guests tend to take advantage of the welcoming environment to socialize with other guests. Guest access To reach the island, you will embark the ferry at the Dubrovnik port and travel via one of two routes: Dubrovnik-Lopud-Suđurađ or Dubrovnik-Koločep-Lopud-Suđurađ. Parking at the ferry port is free of charge and is located a few minutes away from the property. Apartment has an internet access and satellite TV. Emily’s gift shop is located on the ground floor of the house. There you can shop for a local products such as olive oil, wine, and various Croatian liqueurs or pick up some small gifts for your loved ones. Other things to note Šipan belongs to a beautiful string of small Elaphite Islands, closely bound to Dubrovnik in both proximity and history. At a mere 16 km2 in size, it’s still the largest of the islands. The island is covered by Mediterranean vegetation and famous for the olive cultivation. The old olive mill is preserved and is now part of tavern, creatively called “Stara Mlinica” (The Old Mill) where you can taste local food and experience a piece of history inside. For those seeking a touch of luxury or a potential encounter with world-famous celebrities, we recommend visiting the now-famous restaurant and beach ‘Bowa’. Also worth mentioning is the restaurant at the beautiful family hotel 'Božica', the only hotel on the island. Enjoy cocktails at Priježba Beach or find one of the hidden bays for privacy and relaxation. Visit one of 34 churches or 42 castles around the island to experience the centuries-old history of the island. Visit the national park on the island of Mljet or the old town of Dubrovnik, or take one of several private boat tours to explore the surrounding islands.
