The Haven
The Haven is an Antebellum home in walking distance of a coffee shop, the YMCA, Columbus Soccer fields, River Walk, Trotter Convention Center, Munson Brothers, Zachary’s and one of the south’s best book shops. It is an old home with decor dating to The United States Civil War. The space The Haven has a special way of making everyone feel at home. From its beginning as a black smith shop to the loving family who restored it in the 70’s it offers a great deal of comfort and character. Rich in history you will find that it has meant a lot to many who have found refuge within its walls. Guest access There are 3 out buildings on the property you may access. #The Wheel House- smallest of the 3. You will recognize it’s arch windows. Find the light under the carport it looks nice lit up at night. #The green storage building in the back yard. It’s not very tidy but you are welcome to take a peak. #Connected to the carport is an old “work shop” We use as storage now and you may too. Other things to note We would like to assure families with children, it’s OK! Considering the homes age and antiques many question its suitability for children. We would like to assure you this home and it’s contents are tough. In 175 years it has raised many kids and currently hosts parties sometimes crawling with kids. There is nothing in the home that isn’t specifically there for our guests. We understand accidents happen and it would not be there if we couldn’t live without it so under reasonable respect and consideration please relax and enjoy the space. It’s set up for you with kids in mind.
