The Amazon Littlefield House is an authentic, historic property built by an island fisherman in 1888. The house stands at the head of the Clay Head trail, a lovely 10 minute walk through beautiful rolling fields to one of the most private beaches on the island. Mansion Beach, one of the most popular beaches, is a short walk or bike ride away. The house is lovingly maintained in a traditional fashion with simple hardwood floors, plaster walls and comfortable period furnishings and artwork. The space As it is situated an a high point on Corn Neck there are beautiful views from all the bedrooms and gorgeous sunset prospects from the stone patio. The house has four bedrooms, one with a queen bed, two with doubles and one with a double and a twin. The rooms are airy and open with cooling cross-breezes. The House is separated from the road by a tall hedge and surrounded a barn, perennial gardens, trees and lawns. There is a big, deep porch that wraps around the front with rocking chairs perfect for morning coffee and watching the birds in the meadow. The stone patio at the back is perfect for cooking, drinks, dinner or simply watching the sunset. The Amazon Littlefield House is one of the most distinguished, historic houses on Block Island and an authentic island experience. Guest access The whole house, gardens, and lawn are available to you except for the barn. Other things to note Note the house is very old school, completely original. There is no wifi or cable TV.
