We welcome you to our Community Farm so you can enjoy everything our beautiful region has to offer! This gorgeous, renovated, ranch style farmhouse sits on 100+ acres of conserved land and 9 miles from downtown Asheville and downtown Weaverville. The proceeds from your visit contribute to the future of land conservation in the mountains of Western North Carolina and East Tennessee, through the Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy! The space The house features oversized windows with views of our farm pastures, a river valley, the Newfound Mountains, and Mount Pisgah in the distance. This two bedroom, two bath house includes two living rooms, a bar room/game room, kitchen and sunroom, and wifi throughout. Indulge in our complimentary morning beverages, while enjoying the mountain views from our full-length front deck. In the evenings take in the beautiful sunset and panoramic views, and enjoy conversation around our outdoor fire pit. -Kitchen: fully stocked kitchen with service for 7 -Sunroom/breakfast nook: Windows overlooking the mountains -Deck: Plenty of outdoor seating for everyone to enjoy the views -Bedroom Suite 1: Queen bed, large connected bathroom with two vanities, walk-in shower, and large closet -Bedroom 2: Queen bed, Large lounge chair and ottoman perfect for reading -Front Living Room/Dining Room: Large windows looking out on the farm and mountains, workstation desk with a view -Back Living Room: Sofa that converts into a double bed and a twin bed, TV with Roku so you can log into your Netflix, -Hulu, HBO ect., Wood Burning Stove -Game Room and Bar: Foosball table, mini-fridge, bluetooth enabled sound system Other Amenities: -Blow Dryers -Iron & Ironing Board -Access to our many monthly tours through Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy website Your pups are welcome to join you on your visit. Please follow our pet rules that we have posted in the house. There is a $70 associated fee for pets. Our farmhouse is located on an active farm, in a rural area. You may see some wildlife on the property and the occasional mountain critter making an appearance inside. (IE: spiders, ladybugs, and the occasional field mouse.) This Farmhouse shares a driveway with SAHC's Education and Event Space, we will let you know upon booking if there are any planned events during your stay, however, please note an event may occur during your stay. There is a good distance between the two buildings and our events never run past 10 p.m. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire home, front yard with fruit trees and expansive views! Other things to note The SAHC Community Farm is an integral part of our Farmland Conservation Program and Farmland Access Service. Donated to us in 2010, the 140+ acre property provides a joint model for environmental sustainability and productive agriculture. The farm hosts a beginning farmer/rancher program, farm workshops, an ongoing stream restoration project, and a shortleaf pine reforestation project.
