Borgo Pretaccione, once the home of itinerant priests, is a 1000 year old Tuscan building that was converted into seven different apartments. Ours is one of the seven. It is located in the heart of the Chianti Classico wine region, and provides a restful, rural setting just 30 minutes from Siena and 10 minutes to Gaiole in Chianti, home of the L’Eroica bike race. Here you will have access to a shared pool, tennis court and the Natural Path that is best for hiking, biking and horseback riding. The space This beautiful Tuscan house is a perfect space for your dream vacation. With three bedrooms and two bathrooms, there is plenty of space to accommodate a family or group of friends. There is a large living room with two sleeper sofas, a flat screen TV and wood burning fireplace. There is also an eat-in kitchen with all of the amenities for preparing a delicious meal. Ceiling fans in each bedroom and living room are perfect for keeping the Tuscan air moving through the whole house. The private outdoor terrace is perfect for a nighttime meal or enjoying a glass of local wine. Within a short walk, there is also a shared swimming pool with sun chairs and umbrellas where you can take a dip and enjoy the views of the vineyard. There is also a tennis court for you and your guests to get in a quick match! Note: The apartment is part of a borgo and the grounds are shared. Note that the pool and tennis court are shared with other guests in the borgo. There are also other houses attached on both sides that may be occupied with guests at the same time. Guest access The apartment includes a parking area, wifi, access to the private laundry room, and shared pool and tennis court. Other things to note This location is perfect! Close to all of the must see castles, small towns and amazing wineries. You and your guests will discover something new each day or spend your days enjoying the apartment while cooking meals, swimming or playing tennis! Tennis rackets are free of charge and pool towels are available by request. You may also want to pack bug spray since you will be in the middle of Tuscany and bugs can be prevalent during the hotter months. Additional charges to note: There will be an additional charge for use of gas heat in the winter season. The meter will be read right before and at the end of your stay. You will receive an additional charge at checkout. During tourist season (April- October) there will be an additional tourist tax of 2€ per day, per person. This needs to be cash only and will be collected at check-in. There is a $100 cleaning fee which includes cleaning before and after your stay, bath towels for all guests and linens for each bedroom. If staying more than 1 week, there is the option to have the cleaners come to clean again and replenish the linens. This will be an extra cost to the renters if requested. There is also an additional $50 cleaning fee for pets.
