Our luxury pile carpets, polished wood & granite fixtures warm saltillo tile floor extend a friendly welcome. Plush robes, slippers, and basic toiletries further enhance your stay. The cottage has a fully functioning kitchen with a coffeemaker, kettle, coffee, tea and basic condiments like oil, salt/pepper & a few select spices provided. A bar with mini fridge/freezer and 2 ice trays are conveniently included for a weekend stay. Welcome basket with healthy Bars, popcorn, chips & snacks make you feel right at home! A large bottle of water and a couple of soft drinks are also kept chilled to greet you! Further included are basics such as hair dryer, iron with board, luggage rack, Cooking utensils, Dishes, plates, bowls, flatware, cutting board with knives, mugs, drinking glasses all for more convenience. Continental breakfast items like Organic Oatmeal and breakfast bars are stocked in the kitchen for your comfort. FREE Wi-Fi, Netflix & Cable TV are included. For recreation, play a game of billiards/pool in the Clubhouse a few yards away. Start your day with a 45 minute hike up the hill and sees views of San Francisco and then have lunch by the stream. We have dark nights, excellent for star grazing. Afterward enjoy a steaming cup of fresh brewed coffee in your private garden by the stream. Later watch a movie or just settle down with a good book. You will not be disturbed by housekeeping during your visit. There is free wine tasting at two nearby wineries, you can walk over to Westover vineyard and winery. Private tastings are conducted by the winemaker and include tours of grounds and barrel room along with a Wine Flight, a Port & Dessert Flight or a Custom Flight. Tasting at Westover is relaxed, casual and fun, especially as the winemakers are also the folks who serve you. For added fun, enjoy your tasting with a game of pool in the tasting room or a game of ping-pong. The second winery is Chouinard Winery on the historic Cook Ranch is just a hop away. Bring a picnic and taste wine under the 100 year old oak trees, listen to live music, or celebrate a special event, wedding or party in the vineyard. There are hiking trails nearby, and gravel paths along the stream which might be uneven in some areas. There is no wheelchair access. There is one toilet downstairs plus a full bathroom with shower upstairs. The upstairs is accesses by a charming spiral staircase. The space saving spiral stairs (10) leading to the upstairs bathroom can be narrow for some people. The location is not suitable for small children. For entertainment there is a flat screen TV and Netflix and Cable TV. The clubhouse has a pool table for guests to enjoy. The entire property is a smoke-free Environment, no pets are permitted. We have a built in closet to hang your clothes. We can also provide a 6 drawer dresser. The hosts live nearby and are available to answer your questions.
