Burl Wood Tiny Home
Burl Wood Tiny Home is tucked away from the noise and bustle of the big city. Less than an hour to sports at Stevens Pass, hiking at any number of locations in the Cascades, or water fun on the Skyhomish River. Located near the small towns of Duvall, Sultan, and Monroe. Perfect place to stay for hiking and as snow continues to fall in Stevens Pass (46.5 miles away)... skiing and other adventures. We are over an hour away from Seattle due to traffic and backroads (27 miles). The space It is a quaint tiny home with a full kitchen, bathroom, bedroom with a full bed and loft. The kitchen will have most light basics (tea, coffee, sugar, etc...). The kitchen is also stocked with all the dishes, pots, pans, and utensils needed to cook basic meals. We try to keep it stocked with salt and pepper but that gets taken often. There is a sleeper sofa and a TV with a DVD player in the common area. There is a twin bed in the loft area. The loft area does have a low ceiling and may be difficult for some people to move around. This is a true tiny house so be aware that the water pressure is not going to be the greatest. There is a furnace and we provide a space heater. There is no air conditioning but due to the location, it stays comfortable. There is NOT a grill available for use. We do NOT allow grilling around the tiny house. Interaction with owners is upon check in and only if guests have a need. We are dog friendly and have three of our own, that may be roaming around. We are open to watching or walking visiting dogs upon prior arrangement. Close access to Skyhomish River and trail heads for backpacking, hiking, and kayaking, among other outdoor activities. We are about 30 miles (over an hour drive, with traffic) from downtown Seattle and 46.5 miles from Stevens Pass. We are about 75 minutes from the airport. **Dogs are allowed but are NOT to be left in our tiny house unattended unless arrangements are made with us prior to booking! And we do not allow dogs or pets in the loft** Guest access Tiny home and surrounding driveway. Other things to note We are over an hour away from Seattle due to traffic and backroads (27 miles). We are on septic. We are in a fairly rural area with natural wildlife roaming about. Please be aware and do not leave food outside. Also, if you have a small dog, be sure to walk it on a leash and keep it safe from coyotes. Do NOT leave food out inside either, there will be critters (mice or ants) if you do. We do have wireless internet, which we have boosted. We are rural so although we do have internet, it is DSL, it is not a large bandwidth, and is susceptible to outages or slow periods. Water heater is big enough for a shower but is a little on the small side, be aware. The water pressure is not amazing. No smoking in or around our tiny house **Dogs are allowed but are NOT to be left in our tiny house unattended unless arrangements are made with us prior to booking! And we do not allow dogs or pets in the loft** Let us know if you are bringing any pets with you!!
