The home consists of 6 BR's (12 guests), 3.5 baths, a formal living/dining area, a Great Room to host any occasion and a Quiet/Work space on the 2nd floor. The 1st floor BR has private BR. The space The 1791 House is surrounded by 5 ponds that are stocked and ready for fishing enthusiasts and open land for your walking pleasure. We are conveniently located close to Rt. 2 and Interstate 395 which puts you minutes from Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun Casinos. We are a short ride to several coastal destinations and just 30 minutes from the heart of Mystic. There are golf courses within 30 minutes of the homestead, the closest being 10 minutes away at River Ridge and Lake of Isles. You can also hit the "links" at Mohegan Sun Country Club, Stonington, Norwich and Pequot Golf courses. Guest access Guests have access to the whole farm. There is property on both sides of the road that you can walk on. There are 3 ponds on the same side of the road as the house that you can fish. We have fishing poles available. Other things to note One queen bedroom is located on the 1st floor with a private full bath. All other bedrooms are on the second floor. There is a Quiet/Work Space on the second floor to just get away from the group or to work remotely. We have a large portable A/C on the first floor that keeps all the rooms at a comfortable temp. On the second floor we have floor fans in each room and window screens. Also note that we have a Caretaker/Tenant, Dan, who has an apartment on the property with very separate amenities and living accommodations. We ask that you keep the straightaway of the driveway clear as he has the parking area next to his apartment; otherwise you can park anywhere else on the premises. We live across the street so we are accessible but Dan is around to help out, if necessary.
