Situated very near the state preserve, this home's location is ideal as a starting point for beachcombing, shelling or hiking through the nature trails. This single-level home is beautifully decorated in beach contemporary with the master suite (queen) on one side and second (double) and third bedrooms (twins) and hall bath on the other. A cathedral ceiling in the central living room provides a spacious feel while a long, open screened porch on the front of the house creates a large complementary living area with the sight and sound of the Gulf surf in the background. Floors are carpeted in the bedrooms and tiled in the living area. North Captiva Island guests and owners get around by golf carts, bikes or by foot. Access to bikes, kayaks and beach chairs are also included. The rental also includes access to the Pool Club. There are 2 Olympic and Lap size heated swimming pools, and a jacuzzi. There is plenty of space on the 10,000 square foot brick paved pool area with 80 chaises and offering a lunch menu pool side. There are 2 tennis courts; racquets can be signed out at the front desk and tennis balls are available for purchase at the store. Fishing excursions, jetski and boat rentals, parasailing and scuba diving can also be arranged. While you can cook your own meals, there are also several restaurants on the island that you have access to.
