The space Our country home offers a dreamy Hudson Valley vacation unlike any other. Nestled in farm country between the Catskill Mountains and the Berkshires, at the end of a long driveway on a quiet country road, our property is one of incredible natural beauty, and designed to be a relaxing escape from the noise of modern life. We’ve thoughtfully designed our 1973 contemporary home with a midcentury modern sensibility, and many of the antiques and original art found in the house were sourced locally from favorite shops in Hudson. While it’s impossibly hard to leave the property once you’ve gotten there, it is worth visiting Hudson for world-class food, provisions, and shopping, local farms for pick-your-own berries, hiking the mountains or cycling along the Rail Trail. Main Floor features: -Spacious living room with wood-burning fireplace -Kitchen with induction stove and great cooking tools.. sliding glass doors lead to deck and grill out back. -Dining room (seats 8-10 easily) with a wood stove, and outside on deck, dining table for ten. -Two bedrooms and a full newly-renovated bathroom. The 2nd level features: -Our family room with a smart TV. -Spacious deck for working -Two bedrooms, both queen beds. One bedroom has en-suite full, newly-renovated bathroom. The house is equipped with a smart TV, Blu Os (like Sonos but better sound quality), and super fast fiber optic wifi. Outdoors: Off the kitchen is a patio where we entertain in the summer. There is a long picnic table and a Weber gas grill. The pool is adjacent to the house- it's a saltwater pool with pebbletec finish. You have the option to heat it, but because of the dark finish of the pool we find it heats up on its own quite fast. There is cabana with two beds under a wooden pergola and a cooler for drinks. The pool area is equipped with outdoor speakers so you can play music here too. There is a big red barn on the property that adds to the farmhouse vibe (but we don't use it for anything other than storage). We have a golf cart for exploring the grounds, bicycles, and lots of toys and books for kids. The property trails are great for running, walking, and exploring. You could do a two-mile run just by looping the property. You might see deer, turkeys, and bunnies, and lots of birds. Bring binoculars if that's your thing. Extra note: Our basement offers a lot of function without form (it looks like a basement). BUT we have washer/dryer, a peloton, a rowing machine, weights and TRX, and we recently outfitted part of it to be our pre-teen kids gaming room with PS5, big screen TV, and even a driving chair for Gran Turismo if that's your thing.
