The space Villa Pura Maia is an architecturally designed two-bedroom beach front vacation retreat with a private infinity edge pool. The clean and simple modern design is fused with traditional hand-crafted elements offering a fresh and tasteful decor experience. Enjoy your early morning coffee while watching an amazing sunrise over the island of Lombok with hundreds of traditional fishing boats (jukung) dotting the sea as they ply their way back to shore. The open terrace with reclaimed iron wood beams and sustainable bamboo roofing is the focal point of the villa experience. Our guests love chilling out in the hammock and lounging by the pool - enjoying idle vacation days! The pool patio and sun loungers are steps from the terrace. The sun is on most days and the infinity pool beckons one to jump in. Overlooking the garden, beach and the ocean horizon - your private pool is sure to be a memorable part of your stay. The air conditioned bedrooms feature comfortable queen sized beds, ceiling fans as well mosquitos nets and large screened windows. Each bedroom features an ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower. Amenities include high quality natural shampoo and body wash, linens and towels. Breakfast can be ordered from our housekeeping staff and served directly in your villa at your desired time. Pura Maia has an integrated kitchen for those who would like to self-cater. All necessary cookware and tableware are available to prepare easy meals. The fridge is stocked with beer, wine and a selection of soft drinks. We offer complimentary bottled water, specialty coffee and tea. A short walk down the stairs is your secluded beach and grassy lawn and relax with a cool drink on a sun lounger. Our beach is quiet, pristine and uncrowded. The calm waters in the protected bay offer a great place for kids to swim and play; the healthy coral reef is a snorkeling must do. The beach bar serves serves up a selection of mixed drinks, beer, wine, soft drinks, milk shakes and fresh seasonal fruit juices. A lunch menu is available from our Trattoria; your meal may be enjoyed on the beach or in your villa. (Service may be limited during COVID-19 pandemic) The beach bar offers high quality snorkeling gear, Stand Up Paddle Boards and Sea Kayaks for hire - explore the half-moon bays, beaches and mountain vistas just outside of the bay. Guest access Pura Maia is set among a group of five private villas that share a beautiful secluded beach and a common beach front grass lawn. Privacy is paramount for our experience and we ask our guests to be discreet and respectful. The sun loungers on the lawn and the bale are for our guests' use. The beach bar serves beer, wine, mixed drinks, milkshakes and fruit juices. All of our guests are welcome to enjoy their time by the beach bar. Other things to note What to expect... 1. Villa Pura Maia is not a hotel. The villa is set within a group of discreet private villas separated by lush trees, bushes and walls. We offer a vacation rental experience on a secluded beach in a beautiful space. We do not have 24 hour room service, butler or concierge services. We DO have daily housekeeping, security night watch, a delicious breakfast service, and a fantastic housekeeping and gardening crew that will go out of their way to help you. Your fridge will be stocked with beer, wine and soft drinks at fair prices. 2. Our property has stairs. If you cannot handle stairs, then this is not the right place for you. Be aware that many villas, resorts and hotels in Bali have stairs. 3. We have fiber optic internet from our ISP with a seamless WiFi connection throughout the property. From time to time service may be slow or interrupted. Please understand we are in a remote part of world and in a remote part of Bali. You will receive your password upon check-in. 4. We do NOT have cellular / mobile phone signal at the property at this time. We recommend all guests use any popular internet communication app to make calls. We do have a land line at our Beach Bar and at the Reception for local calls. 5. We have a Smart TV in the villa. You can get on-line, surf, watch Youtube, etc. We have DVD players in the reception as well as large selection of DVDs. We also have mini-HDMI cable so you can plug your tablet, phone or laptop to the TV. Please see our manager if you would like to borrow the DVD or the mini-HDMI cable. 6. We serve breakfast between 7:30 AM - 10:30 AM. If possible, make your breakfast selection in the afternoon for the next day's breakfast. If you need an earlier breakfast - please let our staff know. Tipping / Gratuity: This is always a sensitive subject for our guests and I get this question a lot, so I will offer a suggestion. I would recommend leaving a tip if you are happy with the service you receive from the staff. There is no obligation to tip - you could tip if you are happy and want to appreciate the staff. A tip of 5% - would be well received. Our staff pool and share all tips. All work equally hard, some behind the scenes and are not that visible. They work as team and in true Balinese tradition share the kindness from our guests.
