Relax in a quiet pine forest surrounded by beautiful private walking trails, with everything you need at your fingertips! We make off-grid living easy with luxury bedding, fresh bread and eggs from our farm, locally-roasted coffee, cream, ice, a hot outdoor shower (seasonal), firewood, marshmallows, battery-operated lights, and a wood-fired hot tub! Just a half mile from the Barn on the Pemi, and minutes from the lakes, rivers, and mountain trails. All you have to bring are your clothes! The space NOTE: Winter is on its way! Please understand that the outside shower may be disconnected if freezing temperatures are expected and that road conditions are always subject to the weather! While we have the fire started for you and you will arrive to a warm tent, you should plan on needing to add wood to the fire at least once during the night! Remember to bring warm clothes and boots! Unplug to reconnect. Our getaway is unlike any other-- When you retreat to Plein Air, you will be treated with: * A secluded, private spot in a magical pine forest. * A roomy, epsom-salt, wood-fire hot tub immersed in the woods. * Spa robes * A hearty, water and fireproofed, roomy 12 x 14 canvas tent covered by a tin roof. The windows and front and back doors unzip to screened windows and doors to help you fight off any potential mosquitoes while also allowing warm summer breezes to flow through. * A deck covered by tin roofing with comfortable Adirondack chairs. * A queen-size bed with a luxury mattress, 100% cotton sheets, cushy pillows, and piles of soft, warm blankets. A rug is underneath to keep those bare feet warm! * A wood stove to light on cool mornings, a fire pit to light on beautiful evenings, and plenty of dry firewood for both. * Rechargeable battery-operated lanterns and a large battery to charge your own devices (there is no WiFi and limited cell service...Verizon tends to get the best service). * A propane camp stove to cook your meals on, with plenty of pots and pans, tinfoil, wooden spoons, plates, bowls, salt and pepper, oil, basic spices… everything you need! * Coffee from our local coffee shop and a camp stove French press with cream and sugar, tea, and generous-sized handcrafted pottery mugs made by Angie. * Fresh eggs from our farm and fresh bread made right in our kitchen! * A cooler and ice to keep your food in. * Gallons of water from our local mountain spring to drink, wash your dishes with, and use to put the campfire out. Biodegradable dish paste is provided. * Locally made, eco friendly cleaning supplies from Plymouth Soapworks. * A hammock to nap or read in. * An enclosed, comfortable, compost toilet. * A seasonal, hot, outdoor shower (for cooler months, we recommend heating up water on the stove for a sponge bath). * Soft, big towels for the bath and beach towels for the beach * Unlimited access to kayaks (we provide foam car toppers, tie downs, and life preservers) and snowshoes for local trails and waterways * A secret forest with meandering trails and surprise spots to stop and rest/play behind the tent to explore. * Goats for composting your plant-based scraps! * Loads of books and games. * Add ons like local maple syrup, plant-based pre-made meals, wedding packages, or yoga packages are available! What should you bring? * Bathing suit and slide on shoes for the hot tub * Food if you don't plan on eating out (see our guides for suggestions!) * Layers of clothes--New Hampshire weather can wildly fluctuate! * Something warm for your feet * A sense of adventure! Anything else we should know? * Yes. Remember, that this is a full-woods immersion. So that means there is wildlife and bugs! Some nights you might hear coyotes and owls. Staying in the cabin comes with a bit of responsibility. All food must be cleaned up and stored properly to avoid attracting any wild critters, including bears. The garbage must be contained and covered and no food should be left out at any point. When you leave for the day or go to bed, please put anything in the sealed cooler or in your car, including toothpaste. Sweep up and dispose of any crumb. Feed your plant-based compost to the goats. If you are unsure of anything, give us a shout and we will help you! Remember this is luxury tenting, not luxury hoteling! * We have a working farm, so while you have as much privacy as you need, you may hear sounds coming from the property, like dogs, goats, chickens, and tractors. We are pretty quiet in the evenings though because we go to bed and rise early, so ask that you respect that as well. While our land is on a private road surrounded by other large lots, you may also hear neighbors through the woods if they are outside. Sound travels in the hills! :) * Sometimes, if it rains and especially in the spring, there are some wet areas. Rain boots are always helpful! * Mosquitoes are a real thing here in New Hampshire and are inescapable if you intend to be outside at all. Some years are better than others. We provide bug spray and have a small, eco-friendly mosquito-deterrent appliance onsite. Guest access During the winter, we recommend 4x4 vehicles to access our property which is up a steep hill. A short walk into the tentsite (50+ feet) will be necessary if there is thaw conditions/mud. We have sleds available to load up any luggage you've brought!
