Our private GuestHouse/Pergola/Pool is perched high on ridge with mountain, lake, valley views as far as you can see. Relax or celebrate with a nature-like outdoor experience in mind. Our location is a central home base for site-seeing or outdoor activities in the foothills, lakes and mountains of NC. Spring is upon us and sun sets overlooking our western mountain ranges can be amazing. Look east for spectacular sunrises as well. Our outdoor fireplace will add some ambiance and warmth at night. Wood provided of course. Add a glass of wine or a beverage at sunset while taking in the views? Coffee and juice at sunrise. Take in a local restaurant, hike or wine tour. For added privacy, our guest house/ pool/pergola is separate from main house. Explore our gardens, fields and short walking trails on our 7.5 acre property! Our guest house is decorated with seasonal decor and lighting. Includes a queen bed, small sitting area, 50’ Direct/SMART TV, Star-link Internet, kitchenette with appliances, utensils, pots, pans and cooking essentials. Two burner cooktop, crockpot and outdoor grill is available too. Table for two and a bathroom with single shower. We provide towels, linens and toiletries. Room darkening curtains will help with a peaceful sleep. Rain or shine, a picnic and board game sitting area is located just outside under our attached canopy. Additionally swimming, sunbathing, yoga on ridge (seasonal of course), nature walks, numerous Japanese Maples (over 100 trees adding to foliage beauty), gardens, bird, butterfly watching, star gazing and at times viewing storms from above the valley. Read a book, relax or just sit in one of our outdoor viewing areas taking in the fresh air and relaxation. We are centrally located in the foothills of NC Mountains and wine country, a convenient home base location for many NC site seeing/outdoor activities, boating, fishing, hiking, Lake Hickory, golf, restaurants, wineries and shopping as well. Charlotte is about an hour away. Local favorites all within a fifteen minute travel include Scotties Hometown Grill, The Farmers Daughter (fresh produce, deli, sandwiches, country store) and Sandbar Grill and Marina (casual waterfront dining.) Also, a bit further the Yellow Deli restaurant is a unique and casual dining experience that you must experience. Our location is roughly an hour away from Charlotte, Asheville, Blowing Rock, Blue Ridge Parkway and Greensboro NC. At times, you may be viewing valley and distant mountain ranges from above the clouds. For weather watchers our location is a great vantage point to view storms in the valley. Perfect for star gazers as well. Guest access You will be able to park in close proximity to our guest house. Look for the red reflector on left side of gravel road soon after our pool/pergola. This slight uphill driveway is where to park. Other things to note Direct TV (50”) includes some movie channels. Wi-Fi and Streaming available using Starlink network. For your cooking needs we have a two-burner cook top, crockpot and a microwave. Also, our gas grill is available upon request. Please enter pool area at your own risk. Pool/pergola area is without a gate. Important, no glass by pool area (plastic/cans/Yeti only) for safety and pool liner purposes.
