Relax in this recently renovated, historic farm house built in 1880! Located a stone’s-throw away from the Erie Canal! The driveway parking can accommodate two cars. One bedroom has a queen size bed and the second has two twin trundle beds. Full bath and shower. Living room has a sleeping futon couch. The kitchen has a great dining space that can fit four people comfortably. Face a peaceful forest during morning coffee facing or outdoor family dinner! Second-floor apartment is not included. The space Welcome to our family summer home, which boasts a great central location in the village. The house can host up to four people comfortably. While rented, you will have the lower part of the house to yourselves. The upper part of the house that has its own separate entrance normally has a tenant living in it. The house is great for families (lots of kid-friendly amenities and entertainment) or couples that would like to be within walking distance of Fairport Village and Canal. The property is not for party animals. We have quiet neighbors and need to respect the neighbors and the tenant above. Bedroom 1: Spacious room with a queen-size bed. You will be provided with clean linens already on the bed. Bedroom 2: Smaller-size room with two twin-size trundle beds. Perfect for your kids. The room is an extension of the living room with no door in-between. Living room: Has a futon sleeper in it that can be used as a couch or a double bed. Bathroom: Sink, toilet, bath with shower. Shampoo, body wash and clean towels provided. Completely renewed in 2022. Extra linens (blankets & pillows) are located in the blue cupboard below the Roku TV. Kitchen: 2021 appliances! Refrigerator, stove, oven, sink, coffee maker, toaster, microwave. You may use the dishwasher, and one dishwasher tablet will be provided to have you covered for the first day(s) of your stay. Dining room: Table with four chairs. There is an extra chair in the laundry room. There are tablecloths and placemats located in the bottom cupboards next to the table. When you use the table please keep the padded cover on. Laundry: The laundry room connects the lower house to the backyard; this space is shared with the upstairs tenant who accesses the space through the backyard. The door to the laundry room is locked from inside the lower house to ensure your privacy. Please do not run the laundry machine or dryer while you are not at the property. Kid Playroom: There is a large toy box filled with kids toys in the laundry room. Children who stay here may play with the toys. These toys do belong to our children and we ask that you return them to the toy box the way that you found them. We have also left art supplies! Book Library: There are some young adult / children’s books for your reading pleasure. Please return them to the shelf when you are done with them. Basement: The basement can be entered through the laundry room but is not part of the rented space. Since it is not a regular place for guests, we gently suggest that a responsible adult enters the basement in the unlikely case that a circuit breaker requires a reset. Outdoors: We have a table and chairs for your outdoor dining pleasure. There are also a kid playhouse and an outdoor toy box. You are welcome to use it all but please leave them in the condition that you found them. Note that this area is shared with guests renting the ground floor apartment. We ask that you do not access the outdoors stairs that lead to the upper apartment or the garage; these are not part of the rented space. Thermostat: There is a Nest Thermostat with programmed temperatures. We ask that you do not adjust the basic programming. You can manually override the programmed temperature at any time to adjust the climate to your preferences. Note: We do have a Roku TV and free internet, but you will need to use your personal streaming services subscriptions (e.g. Netflix, HBO). Proper use of equipment: Manuals for kitchen and laundry equipment, as well as the Nest thermostat are available in the house, in the cabinet above the microwave. Please use them to make yourself familiar with the proper use of the equipment as appropriate. At this time we are only accepting guests with previous positive reviews. Please contact me with any questions before booking. Guest access The rented space includes the bottom half of the house. Guests can access all spaces on the first floor, except the bathroom closet that has our personal belongings and that remains locked. The inside door connected to the second floor apartment will remain locked during your stay. Other things to note You are requested to park up to two cars in the turnaround. Please keep the driveway free for the guests renting the upper apartment.
