Ideal for a relaxing getaway or a working vacation. The whole downstairs apartment of this two-story house is yours! ( owners occupy the top floor of the house.) The owners are artists. She's a painter, he's a musician. Featuring: Private guest entrance and patio Designated parking spot 23 min from SFO 5 min walk to the beach 5 min walk to hiking trails 5-10 min walk to restaurants & cafes Electric fireplace Comcast Wifi and Cable TV No smoking. No pets. No children under 12. The space This lovely guest-space has four separate rooms, and 2 patios with outdoor dining spaces. *********Airbnb lists us as having 4 beds. We don't . We have a queen bed in the bedroom, and another within a sleeper couch. I can't fix their description, but I don't want to mislead you. *********** There's local, original art throughout. A seventeen foot long living room/dining room combination is multi functional. A queen sized air bed is hidden within the sofa. There are two different cellular blinds on the living room window. One lets ambient light in, and the other is a black out blind. preventing glare on the TV, and blocking light from the sun if someone needs to sleep in. The table can serve as a desk, fold up to narrow console table size, or be fully opened as a dining table. An electric fireplace provides soft ambient light and can provide heat, as well, if you need it. There are cards and games in a cart beneath the TV (microwave popcorn, too!). You can borrow an electric keyboard and an Epiphone guitar, if you want to leave your instruments home. Just ask. The ceiling in the living room is an acoustic ceiling, so we won't hear you, or you us. A fully equipped kitchen with a new 8 ft long counter and 2 stools can be a separate, casual eating space, or a great place to check your e-mail. The stove is an older electric stove, and I prefer it to my fussy new glass-topped stove. The refrigerator is a new RCA compact fridge, but it's bigger than hotel refrigerators (5.5 cubic feet, as opposed to 3.5 cubic feet), and has a freezer. If you need more refrigerator space we have a garage band refrigerator we can share with you. Our pots and pans are not non-stick, they're stainless steel. We provide non-stick spray and oil. There is a full coffee station, with choice of Keurig pods (Peets) or a french press for ground Peets coffee. Both sugar and stevia are available. The microwave is a Cuisinart, which can do double duty as a convection oven, as well. There's an electric kettle and tea pot. There's a new kitchen sink, but no garbage disposal. Two green waste containers, a recycle bin and a trash bin are provided in a new Ikea trash caddy. The bedroom has a walk in closet, with both hanging space and shelving. We keep a number of items on the shelves for you to borrow: beach towels and beach blankets; power strips, a picnic basket with sturdy plates and glasses, the iron and ironing board, extra blankets, for couch snuggles. The queen sized bed is an Italian import, with a memory foam mattress on top of a box spring. It's extremely comfortable. I iron the all-cotton sheets and pillowcases, for extra comfort. There's a blackout shade in the bedroom, in case of a full moon, or if you want to sleep in. There are new hanging lamps on either side of the bed, and a night light in the bathroom that can be plugged in in the bedroom, if you wish. If you want to borrow a task lamp for crafts or "close work" just ask me. The newly renovated bathroom is small, but has a bathtub-shower combination, a single sink with vanity, and a toilet. Both pump soap (Method) and locally crafted "Sea Glass Soap" are provided. The Sea Glass soap is a glycerin soap. Shampoo and conditioner, tooth brushes and toothpaste, a hair drier, first aid kit are all provided. The towels are white. I don't use heavily scented detergents or any fabric softener. This space is ideal for two people, but can sleep up to four people if you understand that space will be a little tight, and that an extra charge must be incurred for each extra person, per day. If you intend to have more than two people in your party please message me so we can adjust the charges to reflect an extra charge of $50. Per person, per night, and so I can provide you with the extra linens and supplies that you’ll need. Guest access The whole ground floor apartment of this two-story house is yours to use. This 4 room, fully furnished home-away from home has approximately 500 square feet. Your fully enclosed, private patio has another 200 feet of space, and it has great sunlight in the afternoon. A second patio, that gets morning light is available too, but it's not enclosed on all sides. One side faces your parking space. Other things to note Laundry services are available for an additional fee of $5. per load. The washer and dryer are right next to your apartment.
