Tigh Mo Mhiann (a strange-sounding name but you can find its meaning easily enough), originally the village blacksmith's cottage, is an authentic traditional cottage in wooded Glen Spean at the edge of the village of Roybridge. It has been tastefully modernised, retaining the timber panelled walls and real fires. Outside, weather-permitting, you can enjoy sitting in the garden of about a third of an acre with trees, a long driveway and a flat grass area. Folding wooden outdoor furniture is kept in the large porch. Downstairs are a kitchen/dining room, spacious sitting room, bathroom and glass porch. The modern bathroom and kitchen have hardwood floors. The kitchen/dining room has a heavy pine table to seat 6. The kitchen is equipped for serious cooking with dishwasher, double oven, ceramic hob, microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster and plenty of storage space. The bathroom has a bath and a separate shower cubicle. Guest access The stairs are steep and this cottage is not recommended for those with mobility difficulties or children under 5 years. The two bedrooms are upstairs. There is a double sofabed in the sitting room and the bathroom is downstairs. Other things to note People sometimes ask if the noise of the trains is a nuisance. The answer is firmly "no". Although the garden borders the Roybridge railway stop, all trains pass slowly and it's very hard to hear them from within the house. This cottage is not suitable for smokers as smoking is not permitted anywhere in the house or in the garden. The TV is connected to a Roku streaming box. It is a small tv.
