The ground floor apartment with a private entrance (located around the back in a private house) includes a living room, full kitchen, full bathroom and Queen bedroom. The space “Home Is Where The Heart Is”... This cozy apartment is situated on the ground floor of our home and the backyard patio gives guests private access to the apartment. There are patio steps to the entrance to the apartment (or you can walk on the grass). Enjoy the beautiful landscaping and well maintained yard with relaxing patios, inground swimming pool completely fenced in and surrounded by a wooded area. The pool and patio area are a shared space with me, my son and family and friends that might stop by to enjoy the summertime! The lower patio now offers a barbecue grill, fire pit and bistro table for guests to enjoy the ambiance of backyard enjoyment. Cornhole and other lawn games are available for some fun too. Seasonal May through end of September. Anything available in this apartment is available for use, the kitchen, bathroom, living room and bedroom. The kitchen has everything you need for your stay. Stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator, pots/pans, bakeware, glasses, flatware/utensils, small appliances (Keurig, electric hand mixer, toaster, blender, electric can opener). Shared washer/dryer is located in the Airbnb kitchen. (I typically don’t use the washer/dryer if I have guests... but if I do need to do laundry, I will ask my guests when it’s a convenient day and time). This is usually the case if guests are in the Airbnb for 7+ days. The living room has a sectional couch, accent chairs, electric fireplace/heater, 50 inch flat screen fire tv, side table with USB capability. Counter with stools that can be used for a work space. The bedroom has a queen size bed, dressers, nightstands and plenty of storage including two large closets. For guests booking more than two, a queen size air mattress is available and can be set up in the living room. All bedding is included. Note: There are two small steps going into the bedroom The bathroom is a full size bathroom with tub and shower. Travel size amenities are included for your convenience. For those stays you don’t want to go out and maybe not cook. UberEats, DoorDash and many local restaurants deliver. Some local menus will be available in the apartment. Forgot something... Robbies Deli located in Chelsea Ridge mall delivers. They even have a liquor store. Please note: If you do request deliveries, please tell them to go around the back of the house to the lower entrance. Guest access ONLY registered guests can share the outdoor patios, in ground swimming pool, barbecue grill and fire pit. Rules will apply. Dutchess County covers 800 square miles of natural scenic beauty, historic and cultural landmarks with an over abundance of outdoor recreation, restaurants, shopping and so much more. Dining in this area is as varied as your culinary curiosity. Whether you chose fine dining or casual, we have it all. Experience Beacon’s finest with museums (DIA), eateries, coffee shops, boutiques, craft beer breweries, distilleries, farmers markets. Local farms, orchards and wineries. Other points of interest are the historical sites (Vanderbilt, Roosevelt, Mount Gulian, Madam Brett) just to name a few. We have the best of colleges.. the Culinary Institute of America, Marist College, Vassar College, Dutchess Community College, West Point Military Academy and Mount Saint Mary’s College. Outdoor activities are varied no matter what season. The Walkway over the Hudson, the Dutchess Rail Trail, Stony Kill Environmental State Farm, skiing (Hunter, Belleayre , Catamount, Windham, and Thunder Ridge), ice skating at Bear Mountain State Park. Hiking Mt Beacon, Breakneck Ridge, Mohonk Mountain at Minnewaska, Long Dock at Beacon’s Riverfront Park, Newburgh’s Riverfront, Hudson River boating, water sports and dinner/ party cruises, several golf courses and so much more. Starting the new 2024 baseball season from April to September you can enjoy spring/summer nights at a Hudson Valley Renegades baseball game located at Heritage Financial Park (formerly known as Dutchess Stadium) less than two miles from the Airbnb. The Hudson Valley Renegades are a long-season high Class A farm team of the New York Yankees. Hudson Valley will play a 140 game season. Long-season Class A is the fourth highest rank on the pro baseball level, trailing Double A, Triple A and Major League Baseball.
