Our place is close to local Restaurants, Walmart and the the city center. You’ll love our place because of the views, the people, the ambiance, the river frontage and the outdoors space. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with good kids), and furry friends that get along with our cats and dog (pets). The space This apartment is under the main house roof but has no common door so it provides complete privacy. It has access to a common front porch( good for drinking coffee in the morning) a very large back porch, although not common( also very good for the morning coffee or any other time). It's great to just wander around the yard or the river front (birds, squirrels, and some unique plants and trees). We are in the country but not isolated, 25 minutes from Ft Myers, 1hour from Ft Myers Beach and in the opposite direction, lake Okeechobee, 30 min or so. These drive time might seem a little long but the ride is nice and there is almost No Traffic, unless your going to the beach which is why it takes an hour. For those who like more inner action and lights, there is a nice casino near the Simenole Indian Reservation. 45 min. Guest access The river, eco sanctuaries and parks, some bird watching (best from early spring to to early winter(????) rainy season. Other things to note There are a number of churches close by, but you are welcome to come to Sunday service with us at Alva United Methodist, a little church on the river built in 1886. Many different denominations attend and all are welcome.
