Shekhar's shared home
My Guest House is located in the center of Bhaktapur, near the main squares and temples. Passionate about my city, I opened this Guest House few years ago to make travelers discover the surroundings in a different way, closer to its inhabitants, its culture and the spirit of this ancient city. So renting my Guest House isn't only about having a place to sleep but also, if you want, about sharing and exchanging. The space In my Guest House, there are 5 bedrooms. Each one has 1 full size bed, a desk, a cupboard and a mirror. There are shared bathrooms, shared complete kitchen to cook yourself, shared living room with music instruments, books in different languages and a rooftop to have sunbath, fire in winter, watch sunset and have all kind of shared moments. Guest access You have access to the kitchen, the living room and the rooftop. I will give you the keys of your bedroom and the main entrance. So there are spaces to rest alone or with other travelers! Other things to note We have a big cultural heritage in Bhaktapur, the "City of Devotees". You can make Bhaktapur as a basepoint because you can do small hikes 3/5 hrs around different parts near by. The city is located in Katmandu Valley, at 13 kilometers from the capital, so you can take time to visit Katmandu. Around Bhaktapur, the countryside is really beautiful with waterfalls, birds, butterflies, Tamang villages, hindu temples... It's easy to get around here, there are a lot of buses. I'm a typical Newari, Nepali and Hindus man born In Bhaktapur. I'm passionate about my city so I know very well places, temples, Hinduism, nice restaurants and cafés. By opening this Guest Housel, I really want that people coming here experience good times in the city, its inhabitants and other travelers. So if you want to, I'm always enjoying take the time to discover Bhaktapur and its surroundings to travelers (to meet craftsmen and their beautiful realizations in wood/stone/jewelries/Gurkha's knives..., right places to eat and to drink, Hindus and Buddhist temples with explanations and other nice and important programs...).
