This is guest room #1 with one king size bed, en-suite private bath with shower and private HUGE double whirlpool tub, fireplace, and secluded private deck. This room is bright and sunny, with a view over the animal pasture with the barn beyond. Our 8-room fully licensed and insured inn is located back from the roadway on acres of country serenity in Hallowell, Maine, surrounded by rolling fields and woods with trails, yet just 3 miles to great dining and boutique shopping, 4 miles to the interstate, and under 5 miles to the State Capitol in Augusta. Maple Hill Farm has received numerous awards for their environmental work, including being named Maine's FIRST "Environmental Leader" green lodging establishment, and they feature wind power, and solar electric and hot water. There is convenient access from this second-floor room to the sauna and outdoor hot tub. Free fiber Wi-Fi, in-room flat-screen TV with Roku and DirecTV Streaming, DVD player (on request), full bar service, common guest kitchenette, and plenty of common spaces. Full breakfast included with room rates. Your innkeepers, Scott and Vince, have owned the place since 1992 and it reflects their personalities including farm animals down at the barn (mostly llamas!) and a strong commitment to environmental responsibility. Adjacent to 800+ acre Jamie's Pond wildlife area with additional trails. Ample paved parking. Guest access The entire inn and the many common spaces are available to all the guests. There is a gallery of local artists, pub area (no self-service), dining room, living room, front porch, and 150 acres of inviting fields and woods along with connecting trails to 800+ acres of public land next door. Common guest kitchen includes refrigerator and microwave plus full tableware. Sauna and outdoor hot tub available. Other things to note NO CLEANING FEES! FULL MENU BREAKFAST INCLUDED! Each guest room has a large flat-screen television with cable TV, a DVD player (a small library is available at the front desk), and a clock-radio-CD player that also has nature sounds.
