Point Defiance/Ruston; extra clean, self check in!
Nestled between city and nature, Pt Defiance Quarters overlooks the Puget Sound at the entrance to 5 mile drive. Enjoy coffee on the covered porch while watching the ferry come in! Unwind in this bright, spacious studio, sleeping in the cozy, queen size bed. Less than a mile away you’ll find the Pt Ruston waterfront – enjoy a movie, eat, shop, play. An even shorter walk in the other direction will take you to our award winning zoo, beautiful rose and dahlia gardens, and peaceful duck pond. The space This NEW studio room over a detached garage is a new addition to an old home. Designed and decorated in keeping with the 1925 Craftsman main house, this pristine space boasts new heating and air-conditioning, a small efficiency eating area, and a ¾ tile bathroom with rain-head shower. This is a TV-free facility, but there is WIFI for your convenience. Please, NO SMOKING of any sort in this space. We work hard to keep our space clean for all guests. We appreciate no smoking! The Quarters come equipped with a small kitchenette – sink, coffee, mini-fridge, microwave and toaster oven. Guest access Guests enter through a private entrance through the garden. While we do not have off street parking, there is plenty of free street parking in front of the main house on N. Highland St. Interaction with Guests: We live in the main house and will share the back yard/grill area. For privacy, there is a beautiful balcony overlooking the Puget Sound. This room is located above a garage. There could be occasional noise when raising and lowering of the door. Other things to note This space is not ADA/handicap accessible. Guests must be able to climb stairs to access the space. We do have a friendly dog who will sometimes be in the backyard. We will endeavor to have her inside the main house when you arrive and depart, but please keep gates closed when you come and go! GARBAGE is collected every Tuesday, usually between 7:00am – 12:00. We ask guests to put out their trash – placing a white bag on the stairway so that we can place out for garbage day. Quiet Hours: In this historic neighborhood, homes are close together. We have “quiet hours" between 10P.M. and 8a.m. If we receive any complaints from neighbors, we will ask guests to rectify, and leave if necessary. Such action will result in forfeiture of fees and deposits.
