Valley house sits on an acre of land in a rural setting, but is only four miles into the center of Silver City, and three miles from the Gila National Forest Gomez Peak hiking trails. Wonderful views from both the front porch and the back patio, and very quiet neighbors, make this the perfect place to relax. It's great basecamp for exploring southwestern New Mexico. Regrettably, the property is not appropriate for young children, indoor or outdoor animals, smoking, parties or large gatherings. The space The house has an open plan living room / dining room / eat-in kitchen. A separate den with a comfy sofa and chair and television has doors that can be closed. The master bedroom / bathroom is off of the living room, while the second bedroom, bathroom, den, and small office are off a short hallway. There's a laundry room with a washer, dryer, and utility sink off of the kitchen. The spacious front porch has a couple of comfortable rocking chairs and a wonderful view of the mountains to the south and west. It's a great place to enjoy our New Mexico sunsets. Guest access The drive has ample parking for three vehicles. We ask that you park in a way that allows vehicle access to the garage. Other things to note The garage is not available for guest use. We keep yard equipment and store a vehicle in the garage.
