This sunny, private, and spacious three bedroom upper flat features original woodwork, charming built-ins, beautiful hardwood floors, and unique Milwaukee maps, books, and memorabilia. Nestled on a quiet street in the bustling neighborhood of Riverwest, your accommodations will be everything you need to recharge from busy Milwaukee outings. The space After climbing three short stair risers in a common back hallway, you will find yourself just outside your second floor private unit. The large landing features a generous amount of coat hooks, storage bins, and a bench for unloading all your traveling gear. Upon entering, you will see that the large kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook away from home, including a gas stove, full-size fridge and freezer, and many specialized small appliances (microwave, instant pot, crock pot, toaster, toaster oven, ninja blender, hand mixer, small food processor, popcorn maker, and more!). In the back corner, you will find essential cleaning and safety items, including fire safety products, a first aid kit, a broom and dustpan, and a small handheld vacuum cleaner. The formal dining room seats six on sturdy, comfortable seats. The built-in dining buffet has several board games, puzzles, and a wide variety of dvds for guests to enjoy during their stay. A toddler seat and baby high chair with a tray is ready for use, sitting in the corners of the room. The cozy living room has two comfy armchairs and a super plush futon couch for relaxed tv watching. The futon may be transformed into a double bed for additional sleeping options. Check out the framed map and list of restaurants and breweries hanging on the wall; all the recommendations are within walking distance of your home-away-from-home! Each bedroom has its own closet for hanging clothes or storing personal items. Bedroom 1 has a queen size bed, dresser, mirror, tv, and a bedside lamp. Bedroom 2 has a queen size bed, dresser, mirror, bookshelf with several Milwaukee-themed books to enjoy during your stay, and a bedside lamp. Bedroom 3 has a twin size daybed with a pull-out twin size trundle bed. It also has a desk, and a small selection of kids items; it could easily be used as an office, a playroom, or an extra sitting room. Guest access Guests will have full access to the private apartment. They are also welcome to enjoy the picnic table on the brick patio in the front yard, and the grassy space in the sunny backyard (check out the host’s lush urban vegetable garden in the summer months!). Other things to note The host family lives on the first floor, directly below the guest unit. We are accustomed to normal neighbor noises, so don’t feel like you have to tip-toe! Our kids are used to respectfully sharing spaces with other families, but you may hear some real-life children sounds from time to time!
