Eagle’s Perch provides a spacious and peaceful setting for your Lake Martin vacation. It is an updated 4BR/4 full-bath home that is perfect for 2-3 families or one large group. Guests can spread out on the large screened-in porch, the dock, deck, or multiple inside living areas. The location provides privacy but is also right in the middle of the action, only 5 minutes from The Landing by boat or land. Book a stay and let the big water views and stunning sunsets take you away. The space Eagle's Perch consists of a "Main House" downstairs and a “Studio” apartment upstairs above the garage. A covered dogtrot connects the main house and the garage/studio, but access to the upstairs studio is achieved through convenient outside stairs. What sets this house apart from others is its proximity to the lake. The shoreline is ~30 ft from the house. Further, there is not a lengthy trek down stairs to the lake or worse up stairs to get back to the house. There are 8 stairs up/down to the main house and a flight of stairs to get to the studio upstairs, but the property is literally "on the lake". In the Main House there are three bedrooms, all with their own bathrooms. There is a primary bedroom with a king bed and outside access to a private deck overlooking the lake. There is a second bedroom with a queen bed, and a third bedroom that is a bunk room with 2 twin bunks, so 4 twin beds. All bedrooms have their own TVs, and the bunk room is a child/teen hangout with a couch, Xbox, Pac Man arcade and numerous board games. The Studio has a king bed and a set of twin bunks that reside in the converted walk-in closet. The converted closet is essentially its own room, so there is privacy for all. There is one bathroom upstairs with dual sinks and ample room for all. The Main House has a well-appointed kitchen with all you need to prepare any kind of meal. This is not your basic vacation rental that has the bare essentials in the kitchen. There is every size of skillet/pot, baking pans, mixing bowls, knives, cutting boards, serving ware, utensils, glasses, dishes and containers for leftovers. Additionally, there is a crock pot, mixer, blender, toaster, numerous spices and both a Keurig and standard coffee maker with filters. Last, there is an abundance of kitchen towels, dish rags and potholders. You will not find yourself saying, "I wish there was a _____." The Main House kitchen has a full-size refrigerator, standard size oven/stove, dishwasher and microwave and a dual-zone beverage refrigerator. The kitchen layout has plenty of room for multiple cooks and the 11 ft island allows for buffet style serving while still supporting seating for 4+. There is a bar area with additional counter space and plenty of mixers and glasses of all sizes. Last, there is ample room in the pantry to store all your groceries. There is also a kitchen upstairs in the Studio that is just as well stocked for your cooking needs with a full-size refrigerator, standard size stove/oven and microwave and coffee maker with filters. There is not (yet) a dishwasher upstairs, but most guests use the downstairs kitchen for the majority of their meal prep and upstairs is just a convenience for those staying in the Studio. There is seating for 6 upstairs, whether for eating or just enjoying a game. One of the best attributes of Eagle's Perch is the large 600 sq ft screened-in porch off the Main House overlooking the lake. The porch is so close to the natural cove in the back, if you close your eyes, you won’t be able to tell if you are at the lake or the beach with the sound of small rolling waves hitting the riprap. There is plenty of seating and room for all to spread out. You can take in the lake in comfort, or you can enjoy a movie or ball game on the 65" TV. There is also a farmhouse table with seating for 6 (8 with the leaves). Most guests choose to enjoy meals on the screened-in porch. While the living spaces inside the Main House and Studio provide spacious room to relax, a trip to Lake Martin is most enjoyed outside, especially near or on the water. Eagle’s Perch has a spacious dock with seating for 4-8 around a patio table, 4 adirondack chairs and 4 loungers. The dock has power with lights and a ceiling fan. There is a floating slip for docking boats and a floating port for PWCs. The depth is around 7ft at the end of the dock and is perfect for swimming but no diving. There is additional outdoor enjoyment on the ~200 sq ft deck upstairs, which provides awesome big water views of the lake, and has seating for 6 at a patio table and 2 in adirondack chairs. There is also a firepit in the backyard with adirondack seating for 6 and enough firewood and fire starters for at least 2 fires. The property also has a boat ramp that runs through one side of the two-car garage and access is provided. Stored in the garage are personal floating devices/life jackets, lake toys, a lily pad, stand-up paddle boards, a ping pong table, corn hole and an air compressor that are all available for use by guests. There are also 6 kayaks stored in the back that are available for guests to use. I hope you consider a stay at Eagle’s Perch on Lake Martin, and feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
