Guests have full use of the entire property, but there is a shed on the property that is not included for guest use. There is no garbage service (as of yet) so please, pack it in-pack it out :) Children are welcome! Pets are welcome also! (Please clean up after them). Things to note: Check-in/check-out times: Check-in times are set for checking in at 2pm and checking out at noon. However, if there are no back-to-back guests check-in and check-out times are flexible. Contact me if you would like to know if there will be back to back guests at your time of checking in and checking out. There is a shed on the property that is not included for guest use. The shed has a light on all the time to deter mold. No one else will be there when you are there. The light on the light pole is dusk to dawn. There is a switch on the pole to turn this light off if it bothers you for sleeping. We would ask you to turn in back on upon leaving. The path to the beach: Walk on the path toward the ocean. At the bottom of the dune turn right. Follow the trail, it will veer to the left. Go over the wooden foot bridges to the sand, then on to the ocean. The sand on this beach is very fine, perfect for walking barefoot in warm weather. (My favorite thing to do :) This walk takes approximately 10+ minutes. If you wish to drive to the beach, go back to Cranberry Beach Rd and turn right. There is parking before the beach to walk down or you can drive down. At the bottom of the dune is a sandy spot. I like to use this spot to sit, read, sun myself, gaze at the beauty while listening to the ocean roar, watch the clouds float by and whatever else I like! It's also perfect for kids to play in - a ready made sand box. The three chairs at the top of the dune are perfect for sitting, just sitting and enjoying the ocean. There is a rope gate at the entrance to the property. Please open it from the left hand side. Swing it to the right hook it onto the short pole. You may leave it open for the duration of your stay then please close it when leaving. Thank you! You have the entire lot for your private use during your stay. 17 Papac Ln is located on the beach front. It's a very short road, a small friendly "community" with very little traffic. It's very quiet and peaceful. A perfect getaway! Oceanview from the comfort of your RV, or sitting outside. As of right now we do not have a porta potty on the property. My apologies to the tenters. Parking is free on the property. You will be the only ones here. Grayland is a quaint little town. It has a friendly bar called The Local. Westport is the sister "city", a small fishing town. There is a nice grocery store there and restaurants. You may walk down onto the docks to see the fishing boats and yachts. Seals are often sunning themselves on the docks. There are lots of birds to see. There is also crabbing available most of the year round at Westport and Tokeland. Razor clam harvesting is allowed seasonally. During the season, razor clams may be dug just a five minute walk to the beach. Note: In the cold winter months, the main water valve may be turned off due to possible freezing conditions. To turn it on during your stay you will need a pair of pliars or a crescent wrench. The main water valve is located outside the gate right by the street. It is under a plastic black cover. Then we would ask you to turn it back off upon leaving. Thank you in advance for understanding! This is only for the winter months.
