Just 9 miles from downtown Asheville, this true farm cottage has spectacular twenty mile views, nestled within our farm's 24 acres! The cottage is a sanctuary that offers beautiful design and affordable luxury in an amazing mountain setting, near all the popular spots serviced by Uber. It is perfect in all 4 seasons of beautiful western NC! Travelers with Service animals due to the health risks to our farm animals and livestock, we are unable to host any animals. We have a legal exemption. The space The cottage has been converted from our greenhouse to a spectacular cozy cottage with a screened in porch to view the cattle and Mt Mitchell, the highest peak east of the Rockies! No TV or Wifi is provided. However, there is good cell reception for those that need to be connected to the outside world. This is an ideal space to relax, rejuvenate, and unplug from technology and busy life! The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, electric range/oven, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker. There is also cutlery, dinnerware, essential cooking ware and utensils for those dining in. We provide olive oil, Pam, salt, pepper, coffee, tea, sugar, and creamer (in the fridge). There is a full bathroom with a sliding barn door. We provide eco friendly shower products, razors, and a hair dryer. Extra towels and blankets are kept in the closet. The living area provides a couch, two ottomans for propping feet up, and a pop up eating table with stools overlooking pasture. In the closet, you will find games, a first aid kit, flashlight, mirror, hangers, extra towels and blankets. The loft has a comfortable queen size bed with soft, cotton linens. There is adjustable lighting on the ceiling for reading. Enjoy laying in bed while gazing up at the stars through three separate 4ft by 6ft skylights! There are blackout shades for those that don't care to rise with the sun. The ladder leading up to the loft is steep, sturdy and easy to climb. The screened in back porch is the perfect oasis to watch the cows graze and spot wildlife while taking in views of Mt. Mitchell and the Black Mountain range (tallest range east of the Mississippi river). Sit in the cozy furniture while feeling the breeze roll up from the pasture! Our guests love to use the porch for yoga, reading, animal watching, eating a meal, sipping on their morning coffee and evening cocktails. Guests are welcome to walk in the grass around the cottage, but please be aware there is ELECTRIC cattle fencing along that area. Just be careful and do not touch the fence. The cows will most likely pay you a visit sometime during your stay. Although guests aren’t allowed to feed or touch them, the cows love having their picture taken and being talked to! Don’t forget to say hello to our friendly chickens in the barnyard too! If they’re laying, we will be able to offer you fresh eggs during your stay! No TV or Wifi is provided.
