Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. Sleep under the stars in our handmade yurt, and enjoy extra activities in Serbia's wilderness. Everything wooden, natural and handmade! While you are here, I provide extra activities such as hikes on the mountain, preparing food on the fire, bow and arrow shooting practice with my handmade bow, as well as rowing with my wooden canoe at a lake close-by. You can also go for a swim in the Drina river wich is 1km from our campsite. This is a what we call a campsite, but it's closer to "glamping". You will sleep inside our handmade Mongolian Yurt with 4 single beds available inside. There are 2 yurts with 4 beds each available for rent. Our campsite consists of 3 Yurts in total, a wooden construction or "gazebo" , which is an open space for guest to hang out in, complete with hammocks and a fire pit. Keep in mind, when getting here, you will have to make a turn to a mountain road (1km in total) to get to our camp. This short road is rocky, and currently not in the best condition, leading up to the forest our camp is in. You will need a 4-wheel drive car, or something that is capable of going up the road. If you do not have access to this kind of vehicle, i will provide you a location to park you car nearby for free, and I will personally pick you up from there. The nearest town is called Bajina Basta, with a bus station if you choose to travel that way, I can also pick you up in town. Bajina Basta has everything you need, from shops to pubs, and it is around 5KM from our campsite. This is where we get most of our groceries. Our yurts are around 1KM from the Drina river which is great to swim in in the summer days, but I warn you it is colder than most waters in this area. Also close by, around 7KM away is the Perucac lake, which is a very popular destination for tourists, great for swimming and the place we visit with our canoes. The campsite is located in the beginning of Tara mountain, and we love to hike up the mountain and visit various viewpoints! An option is also to visit locals in our area and have some homemade food. At the moment there is no electricity or wifi in the camp itself but we can find a place for you to charge your phone. We provide solar lamps and lanterns, as well as our fire pit in the centre of the camp. However there is hot water in the outdoor showers, next to our compost toilet. This is a place to connect with nature, and take a break from your everyday life. Any activities can be altered to you liking, we can organise/make anything happen!
