Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Located immediately adjacent to the 8,000-acre Mohonk Preserve. Two fully equipped spaces, each with full kitchens, living rooms, and bathrooms. The Main House also has an enclosed porch and sun room. The "apartment" with separate entrance is a great space for your guests. . The space The Main house consists of the following: Full Kitchen with open concept to dining room area with dining table, bar seating, stove, microwave, 4-burner gas range, dishwasher, coffee pot, and toaster. It’s fully stocked with glassware, dishware, and pots and pans for all your cooking and dining needs Living room: Relax in this bright light-filled room! • Fireplace with insert, comfortable seating, and a pull-out couch that opens into a queen-size for extra sleeping. • 57 x 32-inch TV, an assortment of games, and LOTS of puzzles. • Adjacent to the living room is a workstation with light to plug in your devices. We have a seasonal Sunroom to relax and enjoy as an extension off the dining room, also a seasonal atrium. During the winter months, (November-April), this room is not available, as there is no heat source. First floor also has a full-size bathroom with tub. There’s a well-equipped laundry room for longer stays. Second floor: there are two bedrooms: • Bedroom #1: king size bed, with 37 x 21-inch TV • Bedroom #2: queen size bed, with 28 x 22-inch TV • 2 additional cots for children. There is plenty of room for these in Bedroom 1. • Full size bathroom with a stand-up shower • Separate from the bathroom, we have a private “Spa” tub room. This is a personal space for one to enjoy peace and quiet after a long day of exploring or just to have a special place for alone time. Apartment: This space is an exceptional space for families that need a separate living area from the main house. • Fully stocked kitchen, oven, stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker • Full bathroom with stand-up shower, • Bedroom with a queen size bed. • Living room with a twin pull-out couch and a 37 x 22-inch tv, games and a dining table. There is no direct access to the main house from the apartment. All guests staying in the apartment must exit the apartment and enter through the front door to the Main house. This is a perfect space when the home is shared by two families or for Mom and Dad or grandparents. Exterior • In-ground pool with patio furniture and pool floaters. We do not supply pool towels. Guest will need to bring their own • Small swing set • 1 grill for outside cooking • Fire pit • Private, wooded setting with open meadow area for sitting or playing catch • The 16+ acre property is adjacent to Mohonk Preserve, which is the largest private nature preserve in New York. The Preserve protects 8,000 acres of the Shawangunk Ridge and inspires people to care for, enjoy, and explore the natural world. Guest access The property is at the end of a quiet, dead-end road, located off a main connecting road in High Falls. The location is easily accessible to High Falls, Rosendale, Kingston, New Paltz and surrounding areas. Parking is comfortable for at least 4 cars around the house. Other things to note Rental includes direct walking access to the adjacent Mohonk Preserve, which is the largest private nature preserve in New York. The Preserve protects 8,000 acres of the Shawangunk Ridge, with numerous trailheads to explore nearby. Adjacent to the Preserve is Minnewaska State Park, which is 22,000 acres. You have access to over 30,000 acres from your backyard. Also, an abundance of bird and wildlife watching from the back deck. We have many resident birds, including owls, hawks, song sparrows, Baltimore Orioles, grosbeaks, Carolina wrens, robins, blue jays, wood thrush, northern cardinal, etc
