This is the smallest room in a historic two-story craftsman home built in 1916. Beautiful hardwood floors, doors & other architectural features. Main floor opens to wrap around porch & mega deck. Named in homage of the builder, turn of the century soda bottler & Civil War vet Captain Winfield Scott Mitchell. He built the house and he and/or family members lived in it from 1916 till 1957. The space If you need something more spacious, check out our other room listings that are in the same house - "Captain's Master" or "Major's Suite." This particular space is a small side room up the stairs on the 2nd floor, near the master bedroom. It's completely private. There's nice view of the courtyard. It's quite cozy and great for solo travelers! This is a "Full Size" bed, not a Queen or King. AirBnB doesn't give "Full Size" as an option, so it says "Double." Two people can sleep on it. It's possible you'll hear a rooster in the morning from the neighbor a few doors down, and maybe a train in the evening coming from the station across town. However, 99.9% of the time it's an extremely peaceful and quite neighborhood. If you want the absolute lowest price, don't need a lot of space, but while still having access to a great house and kitchen, this is it! Guest access Downtown, with dozens of shops and restaurants, is a two minute drive or a 10 - 15 minute walk.
