Sitting on our small, picturesque Van Cleef Lake in Seneca Falls, the Boat House and Boat are private and very peaceful. Even though you are only a few blocks from town, you will feel as if you are in another world. The morning sunrises and the evening fireflies create a bit of magic. Add the fire pit and stars at night, almost heaven! The Tiny Boat will be your"water bed"where you sleep and the boat house will have all the amenities with the feeling of being in tree house(note tree in deck!) The space The Boat House is located down a slope on the lower part of our property on the lake. The area is very private, and even though you are in town, it feels like another world. Sleeping on the boat you will have a very comfortable custom made double bed mattress. There is a fan provided in the boat and open air and screens on both ends of the sleeping cabin. At night, the stairs down to the boat are lighted for going up to the boat house. Please note that there is not a bathroom on the boat. The toilet in the house is a Swedish made "waterless composting commode". The Boat House has air conditioning the Boat does not. You have access to the whole lower part of our property which offers a fire pit and chairs to relax in. In the evening,it is wonderful to build a fire and sit under the stars after a day of adventures. That area is also available to our house Airbnb guests. We will always inform them that we have Boat House guests and ask them to respect your privacy, if they decide to come down. Guest access We always like to greet our guests and do a short orientation of the boat house. Our standard check-in time is between 4-7 pm. You have access to the whole lower part of our property and the fire pit. That area is also available to our house Airbnb guests. Other things to note The tiny boat is stationary and does not move from the dock. Town is only a short 2 block walk to our main street with local restaurants, a local pub, a brewery, historical museums and a sculpture trail and more! We are located at the head of the Cayuga Lake wine trail and just 10 minutes to the Seneca Lake wine trail. There are 2 state parks, swimming, kayaking and more within 15 minutes.
