This is a 2-story house-quiet residential street-safe town. Clean, eat-in kitchen, dining room, 2 twins, one queen, fold out bed in Living Room, shower/tub, washer/dryer, dedicated work area, Internet TV, 2 TVs, 1-new Smart, one with ROKU, art supplies, large backyard, sml bbq, fire pit, games, kid-friendly. Free on/off-street parking. Close to Storm King, the Hudson, Woodbury Mall, West Point, hiking, restaurants, bars, malls. Town pool easy walking distance. No river or mountain view. The space This is an Airbnb when we are not living here. Our experience living here is the same as yours. We live with the same quirks you experience, for example, the hot/cold water is backwards. There is a different feel from homes that are Airbnb only. We are invested in keeping the house well-maintained and we have high standards for cleanliness-especially because we live here. Luckily for everyone, Maribel does an exceptional job cleaning and maintaining the house. Re: Infants/children: There is a bassinet (no mattress). There are no child gates. The house is open, but small so we are forced to put breakable things within the reach of toddlers. Feel free to move things into the laundry room. There is a huge backyard, toys, art supplies, a chalkboard with colored chalk, games, books, a sprinkler and a pool within walking distance. Re: people with limited mobility: The steps to the second floor are steep. However, the bathroom and the very comfortable fold out bed, along with sheets, blankets, etc. are on the first floor. No need for you to go upstairs. The house is within walking distance of bars, restaurants, shopping, coffee shops, a library, a pool and park with a fountain and geese. It is only a short ride to grocery stores, Dollar Store, malls, etc. Pool Fees Day pass: $7 per person, $10 for guests* Over 60 years-old: $2 Fill out a short form when you get to the pool. Use Mitzi's address (14 First St) to pay the resident fee. We strive to accommodate our guests. Please contact either one of us if you have questions or concerns. We don’t usually contact guests during their stay. We want you to relax and have fun. But if you have any questions, please contact us. We also appreciate it if you let us know if something doesn’t work or is broken. We also understand when things break due to normal use, so please let us know. Guest access This is a private residence with a fence. You have access to the entire house with the exception of the locked basement. Other things to note Much of what makes the house we call Mitzi eclectic is the combination of old and new. All the essentials are normal (see pictures) and some furnishings were purchased new, but many things in the house are vintage/collectible/midcentury modern. I have been a dedicated collector for many years and at this point in my life I would LOVE to sell some of the things I have in the house.
