The space Designed and built by an Australian expat, Villa Palitos appeals to those of us who love cool green spaces, fresh breezes, and simple floor plans that allow the blending of inside and outside elements. The villa is a part of a very small and upscale complex, with its own 24/7 security team. The living and sleeping areas of this home are separated by a bridge arching over the private pool. The first part of the home is graced with lofting ceilings and plenty of windows to capture the wind's cooling effects in the heat of the day. A large sofa and coffee table in the living area provide the perfect area for visiting, reading, or a late afternoon nap. The kitchen is simple, but well equipped, with a high quality gas stove and a small oven. A full size LG refrigerator - great for longer stays and keeping your groceries fresh - and a hot/cold water dispenser. The dining table easily seats 8, and is situated by the pool, protected from sun and rain (mostly), and made of recycled wood. The Master Bedroom is a full en suite, including a bath tub, and opens out onto a patio adjoining the pool. The perfect layout for a second honeymoon! Two more en suite bedrooms are located on the second floor, one with a double bed, and the other with a new queen sized mattress. There is a daybed on the patio - perfect for reflection and journaling. We have two twin mattresses that can be used on the floor for extra guests. A Monday thru Saturday cleaning service is included in your nightly rate. No discounts are given if your stay includes a Sunday. Guest access Guests have access to the living and sleeping areas. There is a facilities/laundry room that is for staff access only. Other things to note This is a quiet retreat after a day of visiting temples and museums. A chance to live in a private, creative space. An alternative to the hotel-style environment. A perfect choice if you want to get away from screens, and find a moment of peace.
